I still think about it alot. I remember the day after it broadcasted, I was on a Naruto forum, usually they would instantly gush about new episodes within seconds of release. It was silent. Then the next day some tentatively posted 'guys was that episode real? Or was it just a fever-dream? why isnt anyone posting?' Cue confused screeching and crying. Honestly tho, it was a masterpiece, it doesn't even have bad frame-rates, glides like a dream, every now and again I imagine how the Itachi vs Sasuke fight would look drawn that beautifully. Or really any and all fights in this masterful style. You can watch it here skip to 1:14:00 for the only parts that matter.

For once in my life, I'm going to have to agree with this a*****e. I might have lost my s**t for three whole years because Jiraiya died, but I never experienced face-being-sucked-into-a-wormhole-my-face-is-a-horse levels of pain.

SS_ShitStorm For once in my life, I'm going to have to agree with this a*****e. I might have lost my s**t for three whole years because Jiraiya died, but I never experienced face-being-sucked-into-a-wormhole-my-face-is-a-horse levels of pain. Seriously, I know drawing a weird frame ever few frames makes animations look smoother. I think they took that concept the same way as the 'if I bake the cookies at double the heat for half the time, they will be done, RIGHT?' and perfected it. Plus this scene  This is some looney tunes s**t right here. I always lose it when he's just this head in the ground and he goes 'do you hate me?' I can't take it.

I thought it was a joke tbh, 'wheres the real episode' 'THIS IS THE REAL EPISODE' I was briefly salty, then I accepted my fate and just laughed about it. lol
