How would you react to people writing fanfictions for your book(s)? I think it would be interesting personally. I would love exploring alternatives that I could not explore in my own story. It would be enjoyable, plus it would let me know how people view my characters as well.

I think that would be pretty wicked. Call me dumb, but if I were to see that someone made fanfiction of my story then that's when I'd really know that I "made it". It would show me that people care enough or enjoy my story so much that they're willing to put their own spin on it. Unless, of course, it's one of those hate-fics that are out there for works like Twilight where original characters are ripped to shreds.

Unless, of course, it's one of those hate-fics that are out there for works like Twilight where original characters are ripped to shreds. I agree! I still nerd at the idea that if I had two characters that could have had awesome dynamic or something but I couldn't mess with it much because it wouldn't fit into the plot than it would be awesome to see other people get the chance to toy with it! Plus I think it's flattering if people care enough about how my story turned out that they write something for it.

I'd love it, although I'd probably avoid most shipping fics unless I know the author can handle it well or it gets recommended by someone I trust. Which is what I normally do, hah.
I think that Skype idea is awesome! mrgreen it would probably really make some fanfic writer's day.

I would be so flattered. If the story were well-written, maybe I'd even think I'd be like, "Let's be friends!" because I have made good friends over fanfiction. And maybe I could give them suggestions 'n' stuff like that for things that never fit into the canon storyline.

Omg I would love it. That I did well enough that people want to re-vision what if scenarios or that I did anything that they deem worth of retyping in their own image.

I would be kinda proud because people are writing about my characters (weather they like them or not) that I worked hard on creating.

I think it would be pretty interesting, to say the least (: Others may view the character(s) differently than what I may have and I think it'd be neat to see how they view them.

I would love to have someone write fanfiction of a book I wrote, even if it was bad. That would mean I wrote something that really appealed to people. I would also write fanfiction for my own work, just to mess with the fans.

I'd be really flattered and honored that people liked my work enough to write about it. This is a bit unrelated, but I'd also like to see fan art of my characters. There are so many amazing artists and writers in the world that I'd love to see how they expressed their enjoyment of something I created.
I'd probably follow some of the stories and even comment under an alias, just as some people said. It wouldn't be quite like J.K. Rowling publishing a book under a pseudonym, but it would definitely be funny to watch how the author responded if/when they found out it was me.
