Yeah, I've only written 2 fanfics so far, and both of them were entirely spur-of-the-moment, why the hell not, type affairs, so, I honestly have no idea how bad they are. If someone would like to tell me, I'd be glad to share the links.

Some of the most fun fan fictions have been spur-of-the-moment fics. So, don't automatically assume they're bad just because you got the idea, wrote them up, and shot them out in a couple of hours.
Before I ask for links and read your work over, I do want to ask what YOU think your weakest areas are. Is it dialogue, narration, pacing, etc? Or is it fandom specific things like keeping characters in-character, giving the story the same "feel" as the canon, or obeying the laws and "physics" of the canon world? Because things like that I can only help you with if I am familiar with the canon.

The fan fics I write tend to be very dialogue heavy, with few descriptions, and are also very unfocused: almost the exact opposite of what my normal writing style is. In fact, they come across as more of a script than anything. Some how or another, I've gotten people to laugh with (or at?) them, so I must be doing something right.
