Funny... Fate has an interesting way of making people find each other.
Bill's having a little trouble writing. Maybe a dark haired, tattooed stranger can help with that? wink

Bill sighed as he ran his white tipped finger nail along the top of his iced latte. He tapped his pen against the notepad in front of him but the words just weren't coming to him. With another exhausted sigh, he pulled off his sunglasses and leaned back, the ice in his plastic glass rattling as he lifted it to his lips. Here he usually could write in peace, the hustle and bustle and chatter of people busily getting their daily doses of old fashioned caffeine outweighing his celeb status and making it hard to hear anything with the shouting, chatter, and rattling of machines making coffee and filling the entire cafe with the smells of freshly brewed coffee. Unfortunately, that atmosphere did nothing when the music had abandoned him.

"Excuse me, but is this seat taken?" asked an obviously male voice with a thick American accent, making Bil look up and blink curiously.

The stranger was tall but just a little shorter then Bill- not that that was hard given he towered over most even without his heels- and his hair went down to his shoulders in straight black strands that did nothing to pale his intensely tanned golden skin. He had high angular cheek bones and a very rough, slightly rounded jawline. Combined with the brown eyes the other sported, he ended up looking like an 'indian' although in his native language, he'd get the choice of saying Indianer instead. Said brown eyes were not dissimilar to Bill's own but darker and he had thick black eyebrows, also wearing a rather... dirty shirt reading 'Hello Tiddies' that made Bill's eyebrows shoot up to his hair line.

He was broad and even with his jacket on, Bill could tell he was muscular. Bill rarely found men attractive but this one easily hit that mark. Not only that, but he held this air of cocky confidence even as he looked a little sheepish. Bill didn't usually converse with other people but this one didn't seem to know who he was so he nodded and was rewarded with a bright grin as the man set down his cup and pulled off his coat to sit down. This revealed muscled, tattooed arms. The man had more tattoos on his arms then Bill had on his whole body which made him feel self-conscious about the few he DID have.

He noticed the name Ash on the male's cup and knocked his stud against his teeth thoughtfully as he looked back down at his note pad, his pen creating an ink splotch on the white paper as he was left at a shocking loss for words. He shook his head as he capped his pen again, giving up at trying to write. The man across the table smiled sympathetically. "Problems writing?" He asked and Bill blinked in surprise, making his grin widen. "My best friend is the lead singer for our band. I'm use to the signs of writer's block."

Bill smiled and sighed as he took a gulp of his iced latte. "Yeah. It's for our new album and I can't think of anything."

The man nodded in understanding. "Yeah, Andy had that issue once right before our album was suppose to come out." Bill looked at him in curiosity.

"Did he ever manage it?"

The man rolled his eyes but in a fond way. "Yeah but the song was so sappy, I'm surprised it even made the final cut."

Bill laughed, knowing the man was joking. Indeed, the man's cocky grin- one he recognized easily from his brother shooting it to both women and camera alike (though he'd never before had the pleasure)- proved that he had indeed intended to amuse the other teen. When Bill's laughter had died down, his companion held out his hand calmly. "Ashley Purdy."

Bill's lip lifted in a wry smile as he took the stranger's hand sporting familiar calluses with his own, thinner and more delicate- something he'd never thought of to describe his hands before- one as the man shook it, relieving Bill from the annoyance of having his knuckles kissed... again. "Bill Kaulitz."

To his credit, Ashley had the grace to look surprised... and impressed. "Wow... Never would have guessed it." He commented honestly.

Bill sighed. "What, that I'm a boy?" he said, muscles tense but Ashley just smiled.

"Sorta. You pull off the androgyny thing really well. I was trying to figure that part out since I saw you."

Bill blushed slightly at the compliment. He got the idea that Ashley didn't give them out very often... at least not civilized ones. "Yeah, you were probably stumped on what to give me below the belt, Mr Undressing-the-stranger-across-from-you-mentally." he teased, reminded of his brother.

"s**t, was I that obvious?" he said with a slight cringe. Bill shrugged, highly amused even if the other was being playful.

"My brother's a bit of a player so I'm familiar with the perv face looks."

Ashley looked intrigued. "You have a brother?"

"Yeah, here..." Bill pulled out his cell phone to show Ashley a recent picture someone had taken of the band for the promotion of Scream. "Tom's the one with dreads." he said, handing it to Ash.

Ashley's eyebrows rose the minute he saw them and he blinked. "I'd say you two looked nothing alike but damn... Except for the beauty mark placement, you two are exactly the same... Twins?"

Bill was surprised. It was rare for someone to pick out that detail so quickly. His brother's style differed from his so greatly that it was common for people to think they were unrelated. "Yeah... He's proud to be older by 10 minutes."

Ashley laughed and grinned cheekily. "Remind him next time that it's not like any one gives two shits what he thinks, you're the singer."

Bill laughed at that one. "Yeah, he teases me a bit like that but I couldn't say something like that back because he can be really sweet too."

Ashley smiled kindly back and Bill realized that he'd forgotten where he was until he heard a girly squeal and grimaced, turning around to see a girl head to toe in black with far too many piercings walking over.

"Ohmigawd, you're Ashley Purdy aren't you?!" Ashley grinned and nodded and she held out a notebook, asking for his autograph. He willingly did and she squealed again before running off to fangirl with her friends.

Bill turned to look at Ashley in surprise and Ashley smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, my band's pretty popular. I was sorta surprised you didn't recognize me."

Bill burst out laughing, making Ashley look at him in confusion. "That was what I was thinking actually!" he said and both ended up laughing.

Bill was so wrapped up in their conversation that it wasn't until an extremely tall man with short black hair that was surprisingly Bill's height, maybe more, came up to Ashley in confusion that he noticed how long they'd been talking. "Oh, Bill, this is my best friend, Andy. Andy, this is Bill."

Bill smiled kindly and then the man deemed Andy gave an awkward wave back before turning to Ashley. "Hey, Ash, we're suppose to be heading off to practice now."

Ashley nodded and smiled before waving good-bye to Bill, leaving him disappointed. He hadn't talked like that to anyone other then Tom for years. As he watched Ashley retreat, he found he no longer had writer's block...

3 Months later:

"Yo Ash, come see this!"

Ashley looked up from where he was tuning his bass to see the raven haired beauty from Star Bucks sitting on a stool as his band members surrounding him with their own instruments. Putting the well-used instrument down, he focused intently on the unplugged song. When he searched the lyrics, he was pleasantly surprised and smiled softly. "Guess he got over his writer's block," he murmured, forcing himself to be content with never seeing the shining star of a man ever again. They were worlds apart and it wouldn't work. One day's worth of memories and he'd carry them to the grave, in that little cafe.
