That is pretty late for the movie, I had expected the movie to come out spring '07. I'm not sure the Potter fans will be able to take it all at once, we might explode or something. Sorry I just got back from spring break so I'm pretty silly. 'nyway I'm just happy it's only a little over a year to the next book but I agree about the movie date being unexpected.
I wouldn't expect a spring release from the Potter film franchise. They'll always do either November or Summer... they have to cash in at "blockbuster" release times. I suppose that's how they decide. If it can't be ready for the Thanksgiving/Christmas audiences, it gets put off until June or July.
