In one of the linguistics exercises I have to do for homework, it asks me to underline the embedded sentence within an given sentence, and gives this as an example:
Yesterday I noticed my accountant repairing the toilet
How do you know that "my accountant repairing the toilet" is the sentence that is being embedded?
