Esther was at the waterside, watching her puppy splash around, going out of sight before popping back up onto dry land. At least, with her vibrant colors, Myo was easy to keep an eye on, even with the depths that she liked to go. Laying down, she cast a glance at the puppy, clearly having the time of her life. She thought of her puppyhood days with Kira, who wasn't that pleased with her right at the moment. It wasn't her fault, this male wasn't....like the ones that hurt her adoptive mother. Was he? Esther didn't know anymore when she put her head down on her paws. Soon after, the rainbow-colored pup splashed water in Esther's face: freezing! "Myo! That's cold - you're going to get sick in there!" She barked with concern, attempting to get close enough to scruff the puppy, and inadvertently slipping off of solid ground and spiraling into the waters of the lake she always roamed around at night - only the sun was shining, glinting off of the water she was now falling into.
Myo giggled at her mother. But, what was this? She looked upset. Kicking her back legs, she propelled herself toward her mother, splashing her jovially. Only, the normally gentle wolf didn't care much for this, for she began to scold little Myo. Before she could, imminently, be dragged out of her playful water, Myo splashed away, diving deep as she could. Her lungs could hold lots of breath for her age! In fact, sometimes, she felt she didn't need to breathe at all...

Lir sighed lightly as he watched his little girl swim about. She was a bundle of energy and he was unsure on how long he could keep up with her. Keeping tabs on her when in the water was fine, but once Niahm would step foot on land was a complicated task in itself. Make a face, the multi colored halfling continued to follow his blue bundle of energy.
Today's the day, the little pup thought to herself with a smile. Today was when she gets to spend time with her mother and sister. Oh how she could not wait for this time to be! With every second that goes by, Niahm would go a little bit faster. Her father would laugh, and tell her to slow down. But how could one even slow down when they get to meet family?

Esther flailed about, squealing, and very frustrated. This was too much - maybe Kira was right. To make matters worse, when she tried to scramble back onto land, breathless, her paws kept slipping along the edge, tearing at the mud and clay so that potential paw-holds were further and further away. Treading water, Esther tried to compose herself and get her bearings. This being a mother was no easy task, and with her surrogate mother having her own puppies, there was no way she could call on the aggressive female for help. She let out a little huff, ending with a whine; discouraged from trying to get back onto land.Myo suddenly caught the sounds of splashing and the vibrations in the water with the fins on her maw. But with her mother flailing about like she had never seen water before, it was hard to tell much of anything in the water. She frowned, glanced back. "Moooommm!" Diving deeper, she began to move towards where she felt the first little disturbance, leaving her mother to wade aimlessly and alone, ignoring her call to 'stay close'.
