Personality: Alaric has a personality as strong as iron. He keeps cool under pressure, and his resolve gets stronger the hotter it gets. His pokemon reflect his personality in battle, but seem a little more fluid otherwise. He always looks at the beauty around himself, enjoying the marvels that one can achieve when you forge ahead... Wills tested upon each other like iron sharpening iron. He is slightly introspective when in a slump, but will cheer up those around him if their day seems worse than his.

History/Background: Alaric grew up in the Johto region hearing about a new mining operation being spearheaded by none other than Clay! He swore that he'd leave the orphanage, make it big one day, and come back for the girl he loved. He had even changed his personality to reflect the way he felt inside.
Alaric grew up on the outskirts of Olivine City, helping out when he could with Jasmine. Se taught him Gym management and the love for Steel-types. His obsession helped forge a bod that was almost as strong as his resolve. When he was old enough he left in search of something as grand as his first pokemon, Magnimite. Over the years, he had done a lot of odd jobs... mostly in carpentry, art, and architectural designs. He managed to make a little extra money, and even new pokemon friends, by competing in small named tournaments and contests.
One day, after catching his fourth Steel-typed pokemon, an intriguing proposition was set before him by three men; Two in lab-coats and one in a hardhat with a thick beard. The hardhat wearing man introduced himself as Byron, and saw the love Alaric had for his Steely friends. After a few hours of talking (mostly about their similar interests in Steel-types... and Byrons' Bastiodon), they came to an agreement. Alaric was going to go and work with Byron in his Iron Mill and extend the gym management training he knew so long ago.
Over the years, Alaric slowly for got his love until she was thought of no more than a crush. When he turned 18, Byron had approved Alaric's managerial skills to be splendid, and his battling techniques were on par with his own. He had told Alaric that in a few days ago, The Driftveil city's gym had changed hands, and was now run by someone named George. Alaric was shocked but he wouldn't let this news hinder his life's momentum! For a gift, Byron gave Alaric a ticket, one way, to Unova with a letter addressed to George...
