This is the Castelia sweet shop owned and run by the Blank family for seven generations. It is located directly to the left of the Castelia City Gym, connecting to it through the back room. The front of the shop consists of large windows that allow those that walk by to see the delicious desserts within and a large smiling picture of a Shuckle underneath the words Shuckle Sweets as a sign above the door.
The interior consists of four rooms, the main room is of course the one that customers arrive in the moment they enter and is filled with all of the various candy and berry juice for sale. The other three rooms consist of the back room which is used for storage and connects to the Castelia City Gym, the processing room which houses all of the implements used to finish the candy making process, and the Shuckle room where all of the Shuckles that are used in the candy making process are kept.
The Shuckle room is special because it is set up to look like a Shuckle's natural habitat, complete with grass, rocks, and special lights to mimic the sun and moon. The connection between the storage room and the Gym is a new feature that Zarin had built when he became Gym leader.

 Zarin Blank Zarin stood over a sheet of candy recently taken from some of his Shuckles in the processing room. The Aspear Berries had been left in the Shuckle's shell for several days and the resulting liquid had been poured out onto the sheet. After about an hour, it had finally solidified enough to mold the sour concoction into bite sized circular pieces. As Zarin, wearing his habitual contented smile, lost himself in the monotonous but enjoyable work, a group of kids entered the shop. Since he was only dimly aware of the ring of the bell that announced their presence, it was a good thing he had some hired help. Suzane smiled at the kids as they rushed in and began looking around at today's selection of candy. There were two boys and two girls who seemed, considering the time and their backpacks, to have come directly after school. Recognizing one of the boys, Suzane said "Hello Jerry. Anything in particular you're looking for?" Jerry, hearing his name called, turned to the redhead and said "Hi Suzane! Just looking, though I'll probably grab some Cheri Candy and Oran Candy." Suzane wore a look of surprise when he mentioned the Cheri Candy. "Oh? I don't remember you liking the spicy ones."Coming into the main room with a sheet or Cheri Candy after finishing his work on the Aspear Candy, Zarin heard Suzane's words as she talked with Jerry. Simply laughing he said "Well, always happy to have someone try something new. Why don't you and your friends try a piece before actually buying some though?" and offered the tray to the four kids. With a cheer of joy the four each ran over and grabbed one, popping them into their mouths. After a second or two, the consequences of what they had done dawned on them as their tongues began to burn. Putting the tray down on the counter, Zarin grabbed four cups and filled them with Peecha Berry juice from a machine against the wall. Walking back over to the four kids who were now fanning their mouths, he offered them the drinks. They downed them in seconds with a resounding "Ahhhhh." Smiling at them, Zarin picked the tray back up and poured the Cheri Candy that was left into a jar. "I don't think the Cheri Candy is for you Jerry. Why don't you grab something else?" With that, Zarin ducked back into the processing room to put away the sheet and grabbed one of Oran Candy. When he returned to the main room, the kids were purchasing their bags of candy. "Come again you guys!" Zarin yelled as they rushed back outside. After popping an Oran Candy into his mouth while Suzane rolled her eyes at him, Zarin poured the rest into another jar and just chuckled to himself. Current Team: Dystai Angel Sakor Ace Sukre Corona

A mop of red hair was all that was visible under a mountain of blankets. Sunshine came in through the large window, landing directly on where Aschebelle lay. Groaning to herself, she vaulted out of bed, knowing that she would never leave the comfort of her bed otherwise. She stretched with a loud yawn, bones popping and snapping after being still for the night. Aschebelle started her morning with a shower, then continued the rest of her routine.
Upon entering her gym's arena, she noted the lack of people. Her referee was no where to be seen; probably playing solitaire on his laptop somewhere. Aschebelle pulled her hair up into a ponytail, determined to take a relaxing soak in her personal hot spring. Deciding to take the egg with her for a relaxing soak, she ran back upstairs to her apartment only to find Maggie still doting on it.
Maggie looked up at her, then back at the egg, knowing what his trainer wanted but not wanting to give it up. They both knew that the egg was healthier with Maggie, but Aschebelle still wanted to contribute something. She also felt bad that she constantly left the egg with Maggie, instead of taking care of it herself. She voiced her guilt to him, "I don't want you to think that I'm using you, so that the egg will possibly hatch faster."
Understanding his trainer's worries, Maggie relinquished the egg, and stood. He followed Aschebelle to her personal hot spring, taking the egg from her and settling into the corner of the room furthest away from the water. Aschebelle opened her mouth to argue, but found herself at a loss of words. Apparently Maggie really enjoyed taking care of the egg, and she was going to stop feeling bad about leaving it with him.
After a long, relaxing soak, Aschebelle pulled herself from the water feeling rejuvenated. Realizing that no challengers were going to come anytime soon, she pulled her clothes on, and decided to go out for the day instead. Putting a sign on the door that said she would not be there for the day, Aschebelle returned all her Pokemon to their balls except Char. The egg had been placed in its protective case, and that case had been put in her backpack for safekeeping.
As Char stood before her, she pet him affectionately and explained, "Hey buddy, we're gonna have a good long fly today. Do you think you can make it to Castelia and back Char?"
Char looked almost offended at her question and spat fire into the air as his response. Grinning at him, they both walked outside, and took to the skies.
They flew leisurely for a few hours, not wanting to overwork Char for no reason. They touched down on the dock closest to the famous candy shop that was owned by a good friend of hers. Aschebelle returned Char to his pokeball, not wanting to draw attention to herself just in case an eager trainer decided to try and challenge her on the streets.
The tall redhead made her way into the candy shop, inhaling the wondrous smells of fresh candy. Smiling, she walked in further and asked the cashier, "Hey, is Zarin here?"

Zarin Blank Suzane looked up from a book she'd been reading when she heard the bell heralding a new customer. As the tall redhead asked her if Zarin was there, she couldn't help but think that the girl looked familiar. When she noticed the color of her eyes, it hit her. Zarin only knew one girl with orange eyes. "You're Aschebelle aren't you!? Zarin is in the Shuckle room. First door to your left in the back." Meanwhile, Zarin was filling up several bowls with food and water for the Shuckle that were lying around the room. There were twelve in total, three sitting on various rocks under the warmth of the lights, four were asleep and lying together in a group on the grass, five were spread out amongst the grass, some in there shells, some out, and one was following Zarin around. As Zarin bent down to pet the little guy, the Shuckle began eating some of the food he'd just put out. With the feeding done, Zarin still needed to take the liquid from two of the Shuckle so he could move it to the processing room for hardening. With that in mind, he picked up one of the trays he'd brought with him and moved toward one of the Shuckle sitting on a rock. Current Team:Dystai Angel Sakor Ace Sukre Corona

Aschebelle thanked the cashier girl and took the directions that she had given her. As she walked, she pulled the egg case from her backpack and cradled it in her arms. Reaching the door that the cashier had told her to take, she shifted the case in her arms and tried the handle.
Seeing that the door was unlocked, she opened the door gently, just incase. Peeking her head in, she stated ironically, "Knock, knock, is it alright that I come in?"
Looking around the room, it never ceased to amaze her how much detail Zarin had put into it. Everything in the room made her feel as though she were outside. The Shuckle really seemed to enjoy it, and Aschebelle couldn't blame them. She would really like to have a room like this at her gym, but it wouldn't really fit in with her fire-type theme. That and she wouldn't give up her hot springs if given a choice between the two.
After making sure that the way was clear, she stepped into the room and smiled at Zarin. She smiled cheerfully and waved, "Oops, sorry too late! I guess I'm already in!"

Zarin Blank Hearing a familiar voice ask to come in, as the owner of it simply opened the door and walked in anyway, Zarin turned and saw a face he hadn't seen in several months. "Reshi!" he exclaimed with a large smile. "Long time no see. What are you doing here?" While awaiting her answer, Zarin turned back to the Shuckle and unplugged one of its holes. Positioning the tray next to it, he said "Alright buddy. Nice and slow." In response, the Shuckle simply tilted itself and and pink viscous liquid began to pour out of the hole. "Have you seen Reshiram yet?" Zarin asked as the liquid spread out on the tray. Aschebelle had told him how Reshiram's absence was worrying her the last time they'd seen each other. Zarin thought she was overreacting honestly, Reshiram WAS a legendary after all. He traveled where he wanted, when he wanted. Just because he hadn't been in one place for a while didn't mean anything was wrong. Even if she still hadn't seen him, the worst case scenario was simply that a trainer had managed to catch him. The egg case in Aschebelle's arms was growing heavy, so she shifted it to place most of the weight onto her left hip. She watched as Zarin collected the raw ingredient of his candies from his Shuckle with a mixture of disgust and excitement. She had seen the process many times before, and while she never understood it fully, she loved the end result.
Zarin's Cheri candies and juices were Aschebelle's absolute favorite, and just thinking about them brought a smile to her face. She loved the rich spicy flavor that only his methods could produce. His other candies were also delicious, but the spicy ones were her favorite.
Aschebelle's smile fell as Zarin asked her about Reshiram. Her heart sank just thinking about how she hadn't seen him in two years. Following her mood, her body also seemed to crumple in on itself, making her seem much shorter and tired with worry. Disappointment and concern laced her tone as she answered, "It's been two years Zarin, and I still haven't seen him. I'm telling you, something is amiss here."
Thinking on Zarin's words harder, she then retorted in a snippy tone, "Excuse me if I'm concerned for a friend."
She knew she should apologize for her mood swing, but Zarin had known her for a long time. He knew very well that she would apologize eventually, and usually sooner rather than later. Her shoulders sagged as she let out a quivering sigh and spoke dejectedly, "Sorry."

Zarin Blank As Aschbelle's concerned voice changed to an angry one, Zarin sighed slightly to himself. He didn't bother saying anything as he recorked the Shuckle's hole and switched out the now full tray for his second empty one. As he walked over to the last Shuckle he had to collect the raw candy ingredient from, Aschbelle said her inevitable apology. This Shuckle was currenly drinking from the water bowl he'd brought in earlier, but didn't even stop as it shifted to release its contents once Zarin uncorked it. He smiled as the Nomel Berry liquid poured out onto the tray. Zarin didn't normally make the exceptionally sour or spicy candies due to the lack of interest, but this batch had been a special order. As such, it was a rare treat for him to get to work with the stuff. "Apology accepted." After a few moments of silence, he said "I know you're worried Aschbelle. But two years isn't really that long to a being that has existed as long as Unova has. He's a legendary dragon. He can take care of himself." He didn't mention that it was possible a trainer could have caught him out loud. He wasn't sure what Aschbelle would do if that HAD happened. Once the last of the Nomel Berry liquid was in the tray, Zarin stood up and turned to Aschbelle. "If he doesn't show up in another month, I'll help you look for him for a while alright? Been a while since I left Castellia anyway. I'm due for a vacation." he said with a smile. After recorking the Shuckle's hole and grabbing the second tray, he said "Now, help me with the door and we'll take your mind off all of this alright? You can pick what I put in these two, we'll grab some candy, get yelled at by Suzanne, and watch some ninja movies." Walking over and coming to a stop next to her and the door, he added "Or we could do a battle." with a sly grin. Current Team:Dystai Angel Sakor Ace Sukre Corona

A sigh of relief escaped Aschebelle's lips when Zarin accepted her apology. They had been friends for a long time, and he knew about her mood swings, but she always worried. The red-head claimed she was passionate, and that she couldn't contain herself when it came to things that she felt strongly about. A hand reached up into her hair and grabbed the feather that was held there. It calmed her to feel the softness of it, and she loved that it never frayed despite how often she repeated the action.
As she watched Zarin remove more raw product from his Shuckles, Aschebelle shifted the egg case once more. It had been a long time since Maggie had practically abducted it from her, and she found that she had forgotten how heavy it was in the case. She was distracted from her internal whining when a tantalizing scent hit her nose. Her mouth watered at what she recognized as the delicious smell of Nomel berries.
With obvious ulterior motives, Aschebelle hastily answered Zarin's question, "Well we should definitely finish these candies first, and then I can help you sample them so you know that they are perfect."
Upon hearing her own words, Aschebelle blushed a little and laughed. She shifted the egg case a last time before sighing, and asking, "Do you mind if I release Maggie? The egg is getting a little heavy and he is probably getting a little edgy not being around it."

Zarin Blank Zarin laughed aloud at Aschebelle's answer, as well as the barely veiled motives behind it. "It takes about an hour before I can shape it and then several hours after that before it hardens into actual candy. If you're still around then and there is extra, you can try a piece." Normally Zarin would have been all for grabbing some from the batch, but the order had been big so he wasn't sure he'd have any leftovers to munch on. Continuing through the door and then pushing open the door to the processing room, Zarin said over his shoulder "I don't mind if you let Maggie out. Just don't burn down my shop." with a smile. Once within the processing room he put the two trays onto a table and walked over to several crates of fruit. Once Aschebelle joined him in the processing room, he asked "So, what kind of candy do you think I should make with those two shuckle? With Zarin's permission Aschebelle plucked Maggie's pokeball from its spot on her heavy leather belt. As she clicked the button that enlarged it, she looked for a safe spot to release Maggie. The last thing the red-headed girl wanted was to upset the candy making process. A saddened look crossed her eyes as she silently lamented the thought of wasting all of those precious Nomel berries. Her orange eyes settled on a fairly open part of the room and she gracefully tossed the pokeball up announcing with a laugh, "For Reshiram's sake let's not burn this place down: Maggie."
The large fire-type chuckled after he had materialized, noting where he was almost instantly. Although they hadn't visited much lately, Aschebelle had made it a habit before to see her friend often. But since they had both become Gym Leaders, it became more and more difficult for the tall red-head to find time to visit between challengers.
When Maggie saw the egg case in Aschebelle's arms, he held out his own expectantly. The girl laughed and carefully removed the egg from it's holder and handed it to him. Instantly, the large Pokemon was placated, and walked over to the doorway to settle in a spot where he would be out of the way. He didn't want to get in the way, especially since he loved Zarin's treats as much as his Trainer did. Aschebelle made it a habit to share the treats that Zarin made with her Pokemon, and Maggie loved the Bluk berry varieties personally.
Making sure that Maggie was settled and that the egg was safe, Aschebelle turned to Zarin, "As for what flavours you should make, Maggie's been a dear with that egg. I wanted to pay you to make some Bluk candies for him."
The fire-types eyes widened with excitement and he couldn't help but let his excitement known, "Mortar!"

Zarin Blank "One batch of Bluk Berry candy it is then." Zarin said, crouching down to grab some out of a crate and put them on the nearby table. "How about Aspear Berries for the second batch then?" he said over his shoulder to Aschebelle, since he knew she wanted some sour ones. Without waiting for an answer he simply some of the proper fruit and stood up so as to be on level with the table. Taking out a knife, he cut the Aspear and Bluk berries into pieces before putting them into two bowls. Taking these bowls in hand he said "I'll be right back.", before ducking back into the Shuckle room. After a moment's scan he found the two Shuckle he had just emptied sunning themselves on the grass by the food dish. Once he walked over, he uncorked them both and dropped the fruit pieces into their shells. Done with that, he recorked them and gave them both a fond pat on the head before returning to Aschebelle in the prep room. "Well while that gets ready and the previous batch waits to firm up a bit, want to get started on that movie?" He asked, walking over to a few older trays of candy. "Oh, and poor Maggie doesn't have to wait hours for the Bluk Candy. I just so happen to have made some earlier. Catch big guy!" He said as he spun and tossed a couple of pieces straight toward the large fire-type, probably cutting off the redhead's answer as he did so. Current Team:Dystai Angel Sakor Ace Sukre Corona
