Hi everybody, it's gonna be a short introduction as i've been awake for nearly 32 hours gonk

Hi i'm Callan which is kinda a wierd name which no one can pronounce, so feel free to call me that or kernel or zombie wink doesn't really matter.

I'm 19 years old and currently in college as a game programming major.

Edit: some screenshots of games i've made. Nothing big yet, as most of my work never makes it to the final stages (mostly because of the incredible amount of art some of my project require).

I program mostly in c#(and c++), but for small game projects I prefer to use Actionscript.

Hey there! I've never met anybody with the name Callan, so I'll just be calling you Kernel.

Awake 32 hours? Thus is the life of a programmer hehe. One of my friends, a web programmer, tends to go days without adequate sleep because of his work.

It's great to meet you, and welcome to the guild! I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of work you do. ^..^

Those games look interesting, the middle one reminds me of an old, preloaded Windows game where you had to trap cats and turn them into cheese. The bottom one looks nifty :3 Thanks for sharing! ^_^

I also want to get into game programming, but unfortunately the classes at my school are rather limited = ω =;; So I think I'll either have to transfer or self teach. That's cool though! What kind of school are you at? Maybe I'll figure out some way to make it so we could give your games a test run? razz

currently in NHL(the netherlands). And for gamedevelopment you should start with a easy language, i started with AS3 and flixel (actionscript game library).

flashdojo.com has some nice resources for getting started with flixel wink
