The weather was warm for this time of year, but there was still a crisp coolness in the air. The scent of the fallen leaves could be smelled whenever a breeze blew through the forest.
This is a most enjoyable and lovely time of year, Adelah thought to herself. Too bad she was alone. No friends, no family...just her.
She had just finished hunting and catching her meal for the evening. With her catch still in her mouth, she sprinted and used her wings to gently glide over the river and found a dry pile of leaves to lay her meal down on. She layed down, folding her wings gently back and began to tear into her dinner.
