Well, with the regular season behind us and the chase beginning, I feel the time has come to evaluate this year's rules changes for the chase. Do you like it? Would you rather go back to the old way next year?
In a nutshell: NEW: Top 4 in points plus 1 wildcard- whoever has most wins.
vs.
OLD: everyone makes the chase, just a reset based on wins, starts, and points positions after race 26.

I personally can't complain seeing as I'm sitting pretty right now but I don't mind the format, I think 10 points a win may be too much seeing as I already have a 30 point advantage over some people. I think 5 points a win would be better suited or maybe a hybrid of that and points based on regular season standings. Like 10 extra points for 1st, 5 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd. Just ideas

Just ideas About that... sweatdrop I based that off of older information that I didn't know was older information. It's what they got before the points system was changed. I didn't realize this until just a few weeks ago and by then, it had been in the rules all year. redface If I had known it would have been 3 points per win just like in NASCAR. If we keep this format that is what it will be next year.

I do think a few extra points should be given based on regular season standing to make it fair for those who have done well all season. I wish NASCAR would do something to reward the point leader in real life.

Alright you need to go back and give 3 pts per win instead of 10. I think everyone would be okay with it and ill still have a good lead but 40 something points ahead already is overkill. I don't want to win the chase only because of the bonus points.

I don't want to win the chase only because of the bonus points. If there are no objections, I'll make the change. If someone does NOT want me to make this change to the points, speak NOW! Otherwise, I'll make the change when I update the points after New Hampshire.
