Youkai Saint Team Wild Robotic Hermits Dull Swords Dance~ Two Kinds of Birds Stage 2A: The flash of the camera fills your eyes. Who would have thought you would be the news today? Indeed, the tremors had set many youkai on edge, and as one of the member of the guard, Maemi flied making her rounds and trying to calm down any youkai that where getting in pointless scuffle. Yes the vibe the mountain begun to give off was quite troublesome, but the reporter tried to ignore such thing. She simply rocketed around.
Oddly enough she spotted a certain pair. The hermit, Kasen, and another strange girl she knew naught about. In a sudden dive, the armoured Tengu landed. "Halt, please."
Enter Kenkaku Maemi ~Dull Sword Reporter~
"Excuse me, the mountain has been closed off due to rogue youkai attacking for no good reason," Maemi gave a small bow," I am afraid you will have to return home. It is far to dangerous to continue farther into the mountain, or into the forest for the matter."

Kasen and Vert were walking towards the Youkai Mountain, to investigate the recent tremors, as well as to teach Vert how to be human. "In Gensokyo," Kasen said to Vert, "Most humans stay in the village and wait for Reimu or someone else to deal with the problem, but with your power that would be a waste." She said with a smile to Vert.
Vert nodded and stared at the youkai mountain. She could sense someone coming, but before she could say something, the person she sensed showed herself and told them that they couldn't go any farther. "There's a someone there." She said, pointing at her. She then dropped her hand and tilted her head. "Why is it too dangerous? People say I'm powerful, so I might be fine." She said to the tengu.
Kasen patted Vert on the shoulder as she pointed out the tengu. "I know, I can see her." She sighed. She then looked at the tengu and took a step ahead of Vert. "We are here to help against the tremors by finding their source and stopping it." She told the tengu. "So may we please pass?" She asked the tengu.

"The youkai in the vicinity have grown violent," Maemi explained," the guards of the tengu village have been told to keep visitors out until we have resolved the issues at hand."
The tengu turned to give a glance at the mountains behind her," The tremors will shake the mountain to rubble at this rate. No matter how strong of youkai you are, we can't risk anything. As tengu guards we will resolve the issue on our land, before we allowed third parties to get involved." She turned back to the two intruders, putting her hands on her hips," I am sorry, but as my master told me and all those who are under her command, we are to keep all away. It's a matter of security... YOUR security, Misses."
She was simply reciting what Seijin had told her, perhaps that would make the visitors take their leave. Youkai Saint Team Wild Robotic Hermits

Kasen heaved a large sigh. This tengu was going to be difficult. "Well, either way, the issue will be resolved, so why not just let us through? The tengus can survey the area to the best of their abilities, and we can try and find the source of the power on foot." She said to the tengu. She then crossed her arms as she finished speaking. Vert looked at the mountain behind the tengu, "I wonder what's going on up there..." She asked aloud, tilting her head to the right as she asked.

"Yes but We are resolving the Issue." Maemi insisted," The mountain rumbles are causing landslides and youkai are being tough, we have no time to worry about tourists! Specially not tourist who can get seriously hurt and have their injuries blamed on us!"Youkai Saint Team Wild Robotic Hermits

Kasen shook her head. "We aren't tourists, we are here to resolve the tremors, not to go sight seeing." She told the tengu. She then sighed and thought to herself, 'How would Reimu do this... She thought on this, holding her fist to her chin. Her eyes opened wider as she got an answer. She pointed her bandage arm's finger at the tengu and said, "We must get through. If you stand in our way then we won't hesitate to defeat you." Vert looked at Kasen as she spoke, and since she didn't know any better, she nodded in agreement at the tengu.

The tengu blinked a bit as the Hermit threatened to fight her. "Then I won't hesitate to fight back!" Maemi tensed and put a hand on the hilt of her nodachi. "The Mountain is off limits as of today and until the Tengu deem it safe for visitors to enter."
She was ready to fight until Kazuko and the rest of the Tengu told her it was fine. "I was told to keep intruders away, and so I will."

Kasen tensed her hand as the tengu readied herself. She began to unravel a small amount of her arm. As she did, a strange smoke escaped from it. She threw her arm into the air and from behind her came several bird-like danmaku. She threw her hand forward and all the birds darted at the tengu. Vert realized after a few seconds that they were going to fight. She held her arms out to her side and closed her eyes, and cloned herself. They opened her eyes and the clone ran at the tengu, rearing up a punch. Very made a circle in mid-air with her hand, creating the bubble surface again, gripped the bottom of it, and threw four hoops at the tengu.

Maemi jumped back taking fligth and drawing the nodachi, she went into evassive measures to graze the danmaku of the hermit. Barely recouping she saw the hoops of bubble slicing the air as they flied towards her.
She pulled the nodachi up and blocked them. Though she saw only three, and the last one caught her by surprise, the Tengu brough uo her guarded arm, blocking ht blow but being thrown down.
The agile warrior, flipped and slide to a stop,"Geez, this is hardly fair!" She slided the air once, and danmaku of red color fired from her nodachi as she took flight once more and raised a card," Way of The Sword~ Warriror's Guarding Crow!"
She resheathed the nodachi, and in a blurr of motion, the tengu poofed from ther spot and slashed through the two opponents, leaving a trails of crow danmaku in her wake

Kasen leaped away from the slash as it came, but Vert was not as fast. She held up her arms as she jumped back, and was grazed by some of the crows. Kasen threw her arm out to her side and from behind ran several dog shaped danmaku. They can at the crow danmaku and she used it to defend herself from them. Vert as well as her clone both pushed off the ground and spun at the tengu, using their drill attack again, which also helped get Vert away from the danmaku.

Maemi's card slowed and she was about to jump away, when Vert's attacked with the drill caught her armoured shoulder and knocked her off balance.
The tengu bounced off the ground again, backstepping as a few of the wolves came her way, she grazed one, but a second sent her back. She stabbed the nodachi into the ground to slow her fligth, along with using her control of momentum to decrease the impact of the hit. Once more on her feet Maemi took a breath," Just go away, and head home!"
She took the nodachi out of the sould and readied to dodge, she would use another card in a bit.

Kasen tensed her hand in front of her again as she focused. "We can't do that!" She pointed her hand forward again and from behind her, a large flock of birds flew out and darted at the tengu, much like before but faster and there were more of them. The two Verts quickly landed. They looked at each other and nodded. The real Vert grabbed the clones arm and leg and began to spin with her, gaining momentum.

Maemi once more triggered her ability and rocketed away with the tengu danmaku after her, though the tengu didn't manage to out run some of it, the danmaku singed part of her skirt. She dropped down trying to duck from it.
She looked over as Vert prepared an attack. She pulled out a camera and a card," Reporter's Way~ Flashing Blade!"
She threw up both the card and camera. The camera begun to snap various pictures, the tengu's speed was ligthining as always. This time she went to slash various times with her knife, the nodachi on her back releasing black-feather danmaku with every dash she made.

The flashes from the tengu's camera were beginning to distract Kasen. Kasen dashed side to side to avoid the danmaku that the tengu was giving off, but it was beginning to get crowded, even for her. She didn't want to risk calling in one of her pets to help her, she wouldn't be abl to live with herself if it got hurt. The Verts continued their attack, grazing the danmaku as it came. Finally, after enough momentum was gained, Vert threw her clone upwards towards the camera, but just as she got under it, she threw her amrs and legs out and said, "Field Barrier "Aquarius Sphere"." Around her formed a bubble of energy, made of the same energy as the rings, which gave off a sort of electricity on the outside of it. The real Vert on the ground dodged much like Kasen did. She hoped that her attack would not only hit the camera, but also hit the tengu as she flew by.

Hitting the camera made the spellcard break, and knocked out Maemi's concentration. The boost she had gained through the card and her momentum abilitis had nowhere to go, and as she tried to stop herself she crashed into the floor head on, sliding to a tragic stop.
Sure enough Maemi too a few scrapes, but she was a memeber of the tengu guard for several reasons! Pulling to her feet she drew the nodachi once more the knife she had used for the last attack put away. She would have to get her camera fixed later, her boss wouldn't be happy.
"I will give you two props,"Maemi said standing ready awkwardly with her nodachi,"You can totally defeat the weakest member of the tengu guard. Yes. Be proud of that." The tengu was growing grim, and her words seeped sarcasm,"Take pride, because getting through anyone else after me will onl be tougher!"
She took flight once more, the remainder of her danmaku fading away at last,"You may get through me, but it won't be without me giving this my best!" She pulled a third and probably last spellcard, throwing it into the air, before slashing it with her nodachi into two.
The pieces glowed a blindin light, and a vivid fire red color enveloped the ancient blade. " Tengu Sign ~ Wind of the Volcanoe!" She swipped upwards a huge red orb blastif upwards and suddenly spouting out large red and brown orbs of danmaku that showered down. From afar the resemblance of a volcanoe was undoubtful.
With a primal scream, Maemi dashed foward beginning with going for Vert who she had already harmed. She swung the blade downwards. Youkai Saint Team Wild Robotic Hermits
