A shrine made to welcome any race that enters, be it human or youkai. The shrine will never send someone away, and is loved for its caring nature. Byakuren erected this shrine and runs it.

The shrine is located close to the human village but not directly in it, due to human and youkai relations.

The shrine was named after her younger brother, to carry on his spirit.

Byakuren sat in her study, a candle the only light in the dark room. Byakuren looked over her air scroll, having it lay length wise in front of her She held her hand over it and moved it down the scroll, the scroll seeming to move with it. She looked at it carefully, not wanting to miss anything in it.

In the room, there were shelves covered in several souvenirs she had collected, both from Makai and outside of it. She had a small model ship of the Holy Palanquin on a shelf behind her, the light from the candle showing it was just as beautiful as the original. There were windows in her study, but their blinds were closed so she could focus on her scrolls.

Ibara Hinasaru~ Secretive Bartender

A certain bartender was leaned outside her own empty establishment. While Club Youkai had been open for a while now, it was still empty. This bartender had bandages wrapped around both arms, a good sized gauze around her head and under her pant legs another thousand wraps of bandages. All these "minor scratches" from her early counter with Kazami Yuuka. Speak to ibara about it, and she would say she had the time of her life!

This tall girl had enough of her own secrets, and She was looking for someone to trust with her own weights, maybe someone who would aid her in her search for redemption... And beinf a tender to formally drunk fellows she heard of the rather "hot buddhist nun up in the Shrine up the hill."

Sick of the leecherous drunks, she kicked them out for the day warning that if she heard them speaking about a lady in such way again she would bust their skulls open with a single blow. Ibara got curious enough, she decided to look for salvation (of sorts) in the Shrine.

Since she had closed early she headed up the steps, her hands in her pockets, she went up the long stairs, following directions and other signs.

Eventually she found the building, and removing her hat in respect she headd inside, as silently as she could...but perhaps her heavy working boots where not the best stealth material.

The temple was quiet at the time, so the boots were indeed heard. Byakuren looked up from her scroll and listened to the foot steps; they sounded like boots. She closed her scroll and stood up from her table. She walked over to her studies door and slid it open. She looked around down the hallway leading to her study, seeing no one. she then walked down her hall way, her slipper shoes making a quiet sound. She slid open the door to the relaxation area of the temple and saw a girl whom she had never seen before coming through the doors to the temple.

"Oh," Byakuren said, stepping out of her hallway. "I thought I had heard someone. Welcome to the temple of Myouren." She noticed that the girl was wearing work boots and said, "If you don't mind, you're supposed to wear slippers in here, or just your socks. There are spare slippers near the doors if you want a pair." She gestured her hand towards the doors as she said where the slippers were located. She then gasped and bowed her head. "Where are my manners; asking you to do something without even giving my name. I am Hijiri Byakuren, this temples founder." She smiled warmly and tilted her head to the right as she asked, "What is your name, miss? And also, what brings you to my humble temple?"

Ibara heard the soft noises and stopped where she was, waiting until the woman opened the door and spoke.

"Oh- Sorry, I suppose I forgot my manners-!" She seemed quite flustered for a woman who looked so tough and biceral. Immidiately she crouched down to undo her shoelaces and remove her boots," I...I am Hinarasu Ibara, A local...A local bartender of sorts-" she stopped as she grunted, removing one boot,"Pleasure to meet you- and I...I will fix the floor if there is any damage, once again, sorry, I hope to have not made a bad impression- I have enough people-" another short pause to remove a boot," Enough People after my bones and skin."

She went to leave her boots at the door, far too emberrased to borrow slippers. "I am relatively new, to the more public side of Gensokyo, I suppose you can say I am just a tourist..."

With a small pause the bartender placed her hat on her boots as she moved to face Byakuren once more, "Much rather, though, I am here to ask for a small favour...Nothing much really!"

With a flustered look, she placed her hands in her pockets as she usually did when she wished to look indiffrent or un-needing,"You see, I am from a kin of youkai that have bad fame to their name...What I want to do is seperate completly from them, I- Uhm- guess you can say I want to 'repent' for my past, but I want to leave behind me everything..."

"You can say I want to 'civilize' myself fully..." Odd statement comming from a bartender of all people!

"Oh, no need to worry about the floors." Byakuren said, waving her hand. "I'll take care of it myself, if there is anything that is. I like to care for this shrine with my own two hands, in memory of my brother." She took in a breath, remembering Myouren, her younger brother who died before her.

She smiled at Ibara as she said she was new-ish to Gensokyo, at least its public side. She pushed her memories of her brother to the side for the moment, so she could talk to Ibara. "Well, tourists are rarely seen in Gensokyo. Most who come seem to stay, except that incident I heard about years before I was resurrected, but that's not important at the moment." Byakuren nodded and gave a warm smile as Ibara asked for a small favor. "Of course. I'm always willing to help." She listened carefully to Ibara and followed along with what she told her.

"Well," Byakuren said, crossing her left arm over her chest and placing her right hand on her chin. "Before I can help you, I need to know about you more. Do you wish to tell me here, in the lounging area," She gestured towards a nice looking area with a seats and a few books, "Or do you wish to speak in my study, so no one can interrupt us? Your choice." She said, clasping her hands together beneath her waist line.

"Ah thanks-" Ibara nodded, as she listened to the options. "If we could talk where someone won't interrupt..It would be appreciated, if you don't mind the secrecy..."

The bartender seemed a bit abashed, given she was in a shrine, she felt out of place.

*Suddenly at the temple enterance, a guy wearing a white outfit with black trims and sky blue belts appeared. He sat down on the appropriate spot sh he would not interupt any guests. He felt a bit bored and he was looking at his guild founders book chaecking for people who may be interested in his adventurer guild wondering if there was any beeing who would need help or need any choures done. Anything would be nice.*

I sure hope Byakuren is doing alright? I wonder if any of her followers have anything for me to do today?

Byakuren nodded. "Okay then," She said, turning around and walking towards the door she had come through earlier. "Lets talk in my study. It's this way." She gave a wave of her hand, gesturing for Ibara to follow her.

Once Byakuren got to her study, she opened up the blinds manually, allowing light into the room. She sat down at her desk and blew out the candle. There was a chair in front of her desk for Ibara to sit at once she had entered.

*As I was busy looking through my guild founders book and lists of missions and chores and clients, he watched Byakuren and her guest go into her office.*

I think im gonna wait till Byakuren is done with her guest. I don't wanna interupt her till there done. I need to ask her myself if she has anything I can do for her or if she would like to make a mission to post on the guilds bulliten board. I wonder if this Ibara would also be interested in the Gensokyo adventureres guild too? Ill just wait till there done, then ask them and finish off my visit by doanating a bit of mon in their donations box and go see her followers.

Ibara nodded, and went to follow after Byakure, the bartender had to close an eye for a moment as the ligth showered into the study," Ah...Its bright.."

Once she opened her eyes, she took a look at the chair, and quietly went to sit down," I...well, I am no good at...talking....uhm, what is it you want to know...I will answer trutfully, I promise, I can't lie anyway-"

She seemed flustered, a bit fidgeting, and nervouse enough as it was, but Ibara was willing to answer anything that was asked.

Byakuren rested her elbow on the desk and rested her head on her hands. She leaned forward towards Ibara slightly. "Now, tell me about yourself; what are you, what you want to forget, anything about." She had a calm look on her face, but her smile was still as warm as ever.

"uhm- I..okay..." Ibara seemed to think for a moment," I...run the bar, Club Youkai, it opened not to long ago. until recently I had lived in some mines not too far from Youkai mountain, abandoned ones..."

To the second question, the girl moved to remove the headband, there was the stubs of what used to be horns, cleanly trimmed to the base." I...I am an Oni."

"I don't drink like my folk!...I have cut down on my drinking- but...I uh...I was kicked out from the Underground a few years back-"
PostPosted: Wed Mar 21, 2012 2:53 pm

Byakuren smiled. "Ahh, an Oni, like Yuugi and Suika, but not as heavy a drinker as them." She gave a more concerned look when Ibara said that she was kicked out of the underground. "Kicked out? What did you do to get kicked out of the underground? Was it a bad thing you did?" She asked Ibara.

"Yes...Yes I did,"Ibara nodded, staring at the table infront of her,"...I was drunk even by oni standards...As was one of the folk down below...I don't know why an argument broke out- and next thing I know, we are figthing...And then...She just stopped moving-"

Ibara leaned her elbow in the table and then hid her face in her hands,"I never meant for an argument i can't even remember to go that far...but when it was over, I only had one horn and a bunch of angry oni at my back..."

"I was exiled."
