Purple wings twitched ever so lightly, as the rays from the sun warmed the purple and black fur. Mariposa stretched out her fore limbs and let out a small yawn. It was peaceful around the she-wolf...a little too peaceful. A shake of the head, Mariposa made her way towards the lake. She wanted excitment in her life, the peaceful surroundings were becoming dull. Her pup moved away, as her other one stayed with her father. A small smile appeared, then faded.
Maybe that was what she was missing. Chaos from having her pup around. No, she thought while shaking her head once more. It was not that. She needed something new in her life. Something that she wanted to change. But what? With a sigh, Mariposa had a feeling that today was going to be one of those days. A day where she wanted something, but had no clue what it was yet. Maybe, just maybe, what ever she was feeling might just show.

 Crimson eyes squinting up at the bright sun, Kyrilu sighed and ducked his head again. He wasn't usually out and about with it being so bright, but he'd felt the urge to hunt. His last meal hadn't been anything to brag about, and hunger crept up on him sooner than usual. Get a meal, get a drink, go back to bed. That was the plan. He stuck to the cover of the trees as much as he could, following various scents, nothing too fresh. There was a lake nearby, wasn't there? Surely there'd be prey hanging around there for water..
Sure enough, the closer he got to the lake, the fresher scents were becoming, until.. there! Crouching down, he caught sight of a soft doe, not quite an adult yet. Perfect. The deer didn't have a chance. Soon he was licking his blood-coated chops contently, his belly full, as he headed to the lake for a drink.

A stretch and a yawn, Marriposa could not help but to curl underneath the cool shades that helped keep the sun's heat at bay. She had her fill of water, and the walk from her den to the lake was more than she could take with the sun's heat and all. Every now and then her butterfly wings would twitch -along with her ears- as well as another yawn. She seemed to be doing that lately, yawning, maybe it was because she was bored?

Kyrilu reached the lake, and grumbled when he realized that there were no trees close enough to the lake to provide shade while drinking. How inconvenient. Ears pinned back as he stepped into the sun's light, he kept his focus on the lake's shimmering water. There were a few other creatures getting drinks as well, but his catch had been very filling, and they held no interest for him.
What did interest him though was when he crosses the scent of another wolf. his ears instantly perked at the faint scent, his nose lowering to the ground. Someone had been by here recently... Was that wolf still lurking around somewhere? Eyes narrowed as his head lifted, he surveyed the area in search of the stranger. He didn't see anyone though. Chuffing softly, he continued on to get his drink, rinsing the blood off of his muzzle that his tongue couldn't get as well, and still keeping alert for the presence of whoever had left that scent behind.

A small giggle escaped Maripossa, for she could not help herself when it came to the water and wings. Sure, she hates getting them wet for it took hours for the butterfly wings to dry. Though, she always acted as a pup when around water. Every now and then, the purple wolf acted as if she were a dragonfly. Landing on water, taking off and landing again.
Though she would tire of this action rather quickly, she just could not help it. Not to mention that she keeps forgetting that there are other creatures about to watch her act such a way.

Raising his head from the quick rinse, Kyrilu perked his ears and froze. Crimson eyes darted about, and he suddenly focused on the sound of someone or something at the other end of the lake. Water dripping from his muzzle, he slunk along the shallows until he could see around the tiny island that blocked whatever was causing the rippled that came from behind it, and finally sawthe thing causing the light splashing that he'd heard. Another wolf. With wings? Pft. Why did that have to be here? Curse this blasted daytime.
Hoping that he hadn't been seen, he started to back up, planning to retreat to the shadows. His eyes were locked on the stranger until he backed onto something sharp, causing his to snarl rather loudly and spin to defend himself against- ....a plant. Some stupid plant with thorny leaves. Cursing to himself, he stepped away from the obnoxious plant and looked back at his hind leg. Pokes to the pads of one paw, but nothing serious.

Blinking rapidly, the female wolf turned her purple head towards the snarl. Forgetting the water, she slowly made her way to the sound. Could it be another wolf in this part of the woods? A smile made it's way as she confronted the wolf. "Hello?" Maripossa was unsure how to even interact with another for it has been so long. She wasn't even sure what would even happen now that she thought about it.

Scowling to himself, he placed his paw back down and looked at where the voice was coming from. That female had heard him, apparently. "And what are you smiling about?" He growled, assuming that she was smiling because she had found his little yelp to be amusing. Well, she wouldn't be laughing if she'd been the one to step on the prickly plant! Maybe he could assure that she'd still get the chance to experience it...
