Ava had been, in general, unpleasant lately to put it nicely. She was normally quiet and kind of shy. She had always kept to herself even as a pup. In the past few weeks she had kept to herself more than usual and was short with anyone who tried to talk to her.
She herself wasn't really even sure why. Maybe it was because her favorite season, summer, had come and gone a little too quickly for her liking.The snowy season had begun and she could no longer go swimming. Maybe it was because she had been alone ever since she had separated from her siblings to live in her own den. Even though she was still near them, she didn't exactly feel like she fit in with any of them, so she hardly visited with them.
Ava sighed heavily. What would she do today? She didn't know. A shiver ran through her as the winter air blew through her fur. Maybe she would go for a walk upstream. The winds usually weren't as bad there. Maybe it would be warmer.
