Haw, so I tricked you there isn't really a poll. There basically never is, but oh well!
That being said, this is a little bit of a discussion to satisfy my idle curiousity. The question of the day is this.
What constitutes a good mission?
That is, not what's written by the taker, but what's written by the creator! By that of course I mean the mod who created the mission and put it on the board to begin with.
What do you all think is the makings of a good mission? Do you like mystery rewards? How do you feel about the client being (reasonably often) one of those rewards? Do you think the mods should try and flavour the descriptions in order to imply a certain type of character, or should it be left as generic as possible so the writer can decide? And, in the same vein, do you like missions that require you to work with a certain NPC? (ex: I need an escort...) Or do you prefer missions that let you make up your own cast entirely?
There is, of course, only so much that we (the mods) can do to make a mission appealing from the get-go but I want to see what people think on the topic.
