What strategy did you use during the Pie Hard Event? Was it complex? Or more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type of thing?

Heh... well I kinda spam bumped until I had enough points to last me a few rounds so I can disappear from the forums so no one can see me and therefore not pieing me. 3nodding Seemed to help quite a bit, even though I got pied every now and then. razz

I posted quite a bit early on until I had gotten the Cheerleader achievement. Then I went into lurk mode, pie-ing people for points. Although I was rather nice about that, only doing so in threads seeking the Pie Catcher achievement. I'm more cooperative than competitive.

I bumped on threads, then the next second cheered/booed (obviously the brothers/rest respectively). I would use at least 2 to 3 points until I was able to post again.

I'd cheer until Louie's turn was up, bump for points, and cheer again. XD If I happened across when Ian was eating, I'd cheer for him a bit too. But I didn't do much booing.
Edit: I should have spammed for points then left a bit. I might have saved myself a bunch of pieing XP

Well I did it as a way to get an achievement. I only got 2 of the 4 they had crying I wish gaia would just say what are the possible prizes and the tasks to gain them (like maybe if event achievements would be shown in the achievements page before getting them, like the normal ones). By the time other people get them, it's kind of too late. mad

...Oh, and I can speed type like the frickin' Flash, so that definitely helped in getting points.

lol idk if i had a specific strategy i just used to bump like hell and sometimes missed a louie-turn but... yea not that bad i guess...i booes at kanoko, pied her followers and got pied myself... especially i loved the times when it was more crowded in forums so getting points got much easier bc u could chat with each other^^
then i had enough points so i cheered a bit on ian, booed on kanoko and cheered as hell for louie

Well, what I did was stick to the alliance forum most of the time so I was less likely to be pied, unfortunately that cost me 2 achievements. I admit, there was a time when I did boo Louie a tiny bit but that was only more of a "Take that!" to those louie supporters that were being mean instead of actual desire to leave him in second.

I'd build up points by pieing and posting, then use them all in one round.

I mainly kept to the thread, bumping whenever I could.... I actually would stop bumping around another team's turn so I wouldn't have recent posts during the time when either Louie or Ian were active.
Granted, starting the alliance thread made me a huge target for being pied.... which I didn't mind because I was accumulating 300+ votes to spam on characters late at night XD Late night posts, with no opposition meant 100+ votes into a single character.
