Out in the Badlands lies two odd little bases. The closest town is miles away. Most people overlook it as some corporate eccentricity.
Welcome to the place know as...Tuefort.
At this end, the red paint peels off the aged wood in chips, the sun has long since rose, warming the late morning air. Life begins to return and stir within this seemingly decrepit building. This is where our story begins...

The engine of the van rumbled to a halt. Booted feet stepped out onto the sandy ground that consisted of the front of RED base. Rhys hadn’t been here in years; having been the base he started his career at. She smiled at some event from long ago that played in his head. He had mainly fond memories of this place. Grabbing his equipment for now, he entered the seemingly empty base.
He looked around, everything still the same as it was five years prior, when he left after two years of being at the place. He shook his head, and was a little cheered up that his original room had not been claimed. Dropping his kit on the bed, claiming it, her set out to explore the base further…

Carlos looked at the base. This was the second base he'd ever been to. His first mission was at nucleus, which he still wasn't sure about it being safe considering the amount of fire, bullets and miscellaneous explosions along with the radio activity. This looked oddly normal compared to it. Not quite as nice, but no nightmares about waking up with some odd appendage growing out of him out weighed any negativity that could possibly exist.

Satisfied with his prowl, he headed back outside to move some of his belongings in from the van. He only used the camper in between for travel, and only slept in it if he needed to. Normally it just served as his own little personal escape from the base to de-stress and reflect. Stepping back out he gave his long legs a stretch, noticing the other person. "Oh, uh, G'day." He greeted the newcomer.

Carlos jumped as he heard the voice, when he spun around he sighed as he saw the sniper. "Hi, sorry, I thought you were a spy,so used to those bastards sneaking around between times back stabbing people for no good reason," he nervously chuckled. "I'm Carlos," he extended his hand,"Your new demoman. What about your name Sniper?"

Name's Rhys," He strode over and took the man's hand and shook it. "A pleasure." The man was generally quiet an polite man, compared to most of his fellow marksmen, and getting pushed around for it. He looked over to the the second arrival, look quite out of lace, staring. "Uh, miss, are you alright there?"

Carlos looked at the zombie like scout and smirked."I had a roommate like that once. The whole floor of the dorm called him Zombie. So what kind of food do we have around here? I don't know about you but I'm starving," The man seemed nice for a sniper. Hopefully his whole team see him not as a stereotypical Demoman.

“Haven’t looked, just got here m’self.” He confessed to Carlos, however his eyes still focused on his other teammate, thoroughly concerned. “Probably just the basics to tide us over until they get a good count of who’s here.” He honestly wasn’t entirely sure, worse case, he had a few things left in his van he was willing to make of his teammates if the kitchen wasn’t stocked.

Carlos could tell he annoyed the scout. He didn't mean to be mean, the scout just reminded him of his former roommate."hey ese, I'm sorry," he said, turning to the scout, "I didn't mean anything by it, I just had a roommate in college that was half asleep all the time"

"He worked nights as a security guard at some fancy law firm or something, but had classes the whole day. The only times I ever saw him sleep was after finals," he sighed, pausing for a second "That vato loco graduated with a 4.0, I don't know how he did it,"
