And you get that by unlocking more of your island right? or is it your beach?

I believe the wave hotel is earned by leveling up. Which has nothing to do with expanding your area. It's a free project, similar to the obstacle course.

And to get the new island you have to hit lvl 8 and then try and find it on the map
