Do you think you could survive in Silent Hill.... and why do you think that?
What would you do... Where would you go?

I think I have a good chance of survival because I am somewhat fit and am very strong mentally, plus I know Silent Hill like the back of my hand! I am also a fighter, I do not go down easily! I am also intelligent and witty so I have a good chance of figuring out the puzzles myself....

Very good reasons, simply remember the monsters you face are monsters from your own problems, devils in which only you must face. Those darkened streets will warp themselves to create your most wicked fears... The town will not be as you remember it, and the puzzles would be formed in ways you'd truly struggle to figure out.

Why we as players confront this game so easily is merely because the monsters and puzzles and fears are not our own. To find yourself in a darkened ally, alone, weapon on the brink of failure (because in reality, weapons are not forever), and confronted by your worst fear in its worst form.... thats when it becomes more than psychological. Knowing your very life is on the line, no respawns, no checkpoints... A world encased by and for fear surrounding you with no clear means of escape.

I would never know if I'd survive until that day came, and I saw for my own eyes what was against me.

I was about to respond to this before Henry brought out the key facts. xd Now I'm not sure if I'd survive or not.

I would survive in Silent Hill most definitely.
The only sad part is that I probably wouldn't get to see my beloved Pyramid Head.
gonk crying emo

Besides, I'd totally pwn all the monsters with the flamethrower.

Alas there's still a chance, if you were to feel the need to be punished. Pyramid Head would then respond. Likewise this means you'd be pursued by an immortal monster with the means and ability to appear at random anywhere anytime, never tiring, never faltering, hunting you down.

If providing a flamethrower would alleviate your fears and grant you power over monsters, then that weapon would never exist in your world. If it were, fuel would be scarce as the town is abandoned. And what if you were to be injured? Health drinks and first aid kits are only myth if we were to go to silent hill in reality. When swarmed by a ravaging pack of undead creatures in the pitch blackness of the otherworld, blood gushing from the open wound only attracting more enemies, you'll find youself trapped in a building where every door says "The lock appears to be broken" and "the door is rusted shut".

And in your final moments, the last of the flame flickering weak from your thrower... only a few words will race through your mind... "I should have carried the rusty axe"

I would more than likely survive in Silent Hill. I would probably use weapons like Travis would use, basically anything....even my fists. I'm innovative, intelligent, and somewhat athletic. I wont need to run everywhere, but I can at least stay ahead of the monsters.

As for locked doors and rusted doors, I would probably break down the doors rather than move on. My curiosity wouldnt let me leave a locked door alone.

One of the first posts I've read with true silent hill knowledge based survival instincts. I've nothing to say with this hypothesis. cool Good Job

i wouldn't survive an hour lol, though I don't fear much, what I DO fear would be quite powerful, like falling, being alone in the dark, and being attacked from behind. If I were to go to Silent Hill, I'd better have a giant a** rock and a safety blanket XD

I may recommend a combining the giant rock and blanket as a sort of slingshot. biggrin

Knowing me if I were in Silent Hill I would most likely attempt to avoid contact with the monsters unless I was forced into combat like a dead end or such of which I would then grab anything sturdy in sight. But I wouldn't be dumb enough to carry nothing at first so I would most likely have a pipe or such on me already. I'm smart but I would probably get screwed if there was an extremely difficult puzzle that I had to solve. (which Silent Hill usually does) and it would take me an hour to figure out. xd Also knowing me and my love for band activities I would most likely march away from the moster really fast without even noticing it until my legs feel like noodles hours later. The only question I ask myself is what would Silent HIll throw at me since it mainly forms its' monsters, settings and illusions based on the victims own inner demons and/or fears. My biggest fear is losing my friends. I have never commited any heinious or terrible acts that would cause extreme punishment in my life so would Silent Hill still form illusions of friends or others I know being tortured and killed over and over again like it did with James or would it form into a completely different fear that even I am not aware of that I have. I guess you really don't know what Silent Hill will throw at you until you get there and that's what makes it so mysterious and draws us all to it.

I could possibly survive, I'm more wit then strength and I know strength will come into play at some point so I'd be screwed on that end. I know Taeqwondo but that wouldn't do much good since I pretty much have the body of a 12 year old anerexic girl on crack. But if it came to puzzle solving I'd have that down but I'd have to run into someone with some strength to help me out with the monsters. If I didn't I may as well dig my own grave.

Main fear: being Alonge
Seond: Death
Third: Decapitation
Fourth: Being eaten alive.

well, Wolf. Think of Silent Hill as this. You can see it as a test. If you survive, you pass the test and show to the world, and more importantly yourself, that you can overcome the obstacles and sins of your life. If you fail and die, you just proved you succumbed to your sins and werent strong enough to redeem yourself. So, Silent Hill would give you a fighting chance. Fainting shouldnt really be an option xp
