This is where my training begins. I'm either going to race myself or with another driver. All I need is an Instructor who'd show me how the race works step by step. This will not only prepare me for a real challenge, but also help other newcomers-- who read this thread-- to learn about the proper way to race in this Guild. I would recommend that only the instructor and myself are the ones who "speak" in this thread, to prevent confusion. Unnecessary posts/comments will make it difficult for me (and newbies) to keep up with what's going on.Selected Track: 01 - L20 02 - C5 03 - L15 04 - C6 Curves: 2 Lines: 2 My Car:Chevrolet Corvette 2005 Smin - 6 Smax - 13 Hmin - 5 Hmax - 9 ------------- All I need now is someone to act as Instructor, and if possible, another driver to race me (optional). If you'd like to be one of these, make one post here and wait for me to approve. ( Note: The driver shouldn't say anything or make comments while racing against me during the race, until the race is over.) ------------ Current Instructor: Raevir. Optional driver: xXHotBabiBluXx --late to turn up, replaced by Raevir

xXHotBabiBluXx I'll race you. heart What do want to know? You can fill in for the challenge driver, but I'll need an instructor separately. I don't want to deny others the opportunity to help out. Strange... Raevir isn't around. Edit: Blu, please post your car stats.

Okay, you're the instructor. Let's begin.
First, we're starting off the line. So that means I have to choose only the numbers of Smin and Smax. Correct?
Smin - 6 Smax - 13
On the second roll, should I use the same number or the H ones?

Yep, the first section is L20 which is a speed line. Your roll was 11, so you get a score of 11. The next section is C5 which is a turn with a minimum of 5. You roll handling for turns.

Hm, okay. So for a curve, that's a turn roll.
Hmin - 5 Hmax - 9
One question: what does the 20 in L20 mean? Is that the maximum roll for the line? If so, does anything happen if they exceed that limit (i.e. over 20)?

If so, does anything happen if they exceed that limit (i.e. over 20)? That's exactly what the 20 means. If for example it was an l4 and you rolled an 8, your score would only be 4. Turns work the opposite. If you roll below a turn number, you lose a point and roll again until you reach or exceed the number. Your current score is 11+6=17 next up is an L15 line.

To use nitro, announce that you're using it before your roll. Then you get three rolls. Best out of the three is added to your score. A nitro boost occurs when you reach the maximum number your car can produce. If that happens while on nitro, you get a 25% point bonus. Since your car's max is 13, 25% rounded to the nearest whole number would be 3 points bonus.

The same goes for skill and handling, why don't you try using your skill for the next section, which is a c6 turn?

It's basically the same as rolling normally, but you do it three times. After the three rolls, it'll be pretty obvious which roll was the highest.

Skill points are similar to Nitro, but work only for handling instead of speed. THey both are essentially alike.
