Hello fellow writers, as you may or may not have noticed, three new sub-forums now grace our presence! They're called Story Slots, and they're special sub-forums, specially made for only ONE story to be posted in it. This is the way it works:
1. To get a story slot for your story, you must apply for it. Why? Because there are only a few of these, and some stories never get past one chapter so then the story slot will be wasted. The writing extravaganza subforum is where short stories go. If we see potential for the story to keep going on for at the least 6 chapters or more, then it has more of a chance to get in. smile
2. To apply for a story slot, you must send me or the vice captains a PM. This PM must be titled, "Story Slot (# goes here) Application". Inside the PM, Include the following data about your story:
- Background info of the place or imaginary world the story will take place in. (Like plantlife, technology, weapons, animals. Names of kingdoms or countries, the history of those kingdoms and countries, which countries are allied, what are those countries like. Types of characters that can be made, the characters abilities, powers... ect.)
- The storyline planned so far (in other words, plot)
- Characters in the story, their backgrounds and info. This includes villains if there are any. (For villains, say what their evil purpose is and what they want to do, but not how they're going to do it.)
- And a short summary of how it begins.
- A list of how many people are planning to join you to write the story. (Yes, you MUST have talked about this with other people and have at least 3 people agree to join you in the story ahead of time to get the story slot. There is no maximum.)
3. After applying, you should hear a reply from us shortly(1-3 days). If you don't hear a reply by then, send a reminder to the vice captain or me so we won't forget.
4. Last but not least, If you don't get the story slot, it's okay. You can always post in STORY EXTRAVAGANZA. It doesn't mean your story is rejected! It just means that we made a decision to give it to someone else for the moment because we think for now that yours may not get past one chapter. If later we see that your story, already written in writing extravaganza, is better than what we thought it would be, we will give your story a 'story slot'. All you'd have to do then is name the old post in writing extravaganza CHAPTER 1 OF...(Name here). And then, in the story slot, title the next post chapter 2 and continue there.
5. What is a chapter? A chapter for us is about 50 pages(in the topic).

Hi there, I'm one of the vice captains and I will explain the story slots in an easier way. Its pretty much like your own RP Guild. Everyone knows how an rp guild works so you should know what to write on the beginning. Of course others will be able to comment on your story if they like it or not. They will have their own topic in the subforum called "Comments" where they can do this. Their purpose is to create communication between the readers and the authors as well. Each story slot will have their own poll in the "Comments" topic so everyone can vote on your story. Having fun its all what this is about , so be nice , make friends and GOOD LUCK
