Xaix had come home a little later than normal, he had been back at Abyssal for the second year now working as the librarian for barely a week and already they had a couple of kids knock over a row of bookshelves. Leaving the car and walking to the door of the house, he cleaned himself up just a little quickly and opened it. "I'm home!" He called out to Tasusa, closing the door again and stretching lightly.

Xaix tilted his head for a moment at the sound of Tasusa's voice, he could hear the tone of nervousness easily. Heading to the living room, he found her sitting down. Once Xaix sat down next to her, he placed a hand on top of hers. "Is something wrong Tasusa?" He asked, worry evident in his tone. He was sure he didn't do anything wrong, and her tone indicated that it wasn't that sort of talk, so what could it be?

Xaix nodded at her mention of the doctor, he had suggested she go this morning before he left. When Tasusa broke the news, Xaix froze for a moment. "You're...you mean we're going to have..." Xaix was speechless for a moment. He didn't need to know how, he had vague memories of that particular event. Placing his hand on her cheek, he smiled broadly before speaking. "I think...I might need to lay down for a moment." He said before fainting and falling off the chair, somehow the smile still cemented on his face.

It would be another few minutes before Xaix came back into consciousness. Opening his eyes, they were greeted by the carpet of the living room floor, much closer than he had remembered it being. Rolling onto his back, he slowly sat up and rubbed the back of his head. "What happ..." He stopped himself as Tasusa's words echoed in his thoughts. "Tasusa's pregnant...we're going to have a baby!" Almost immediately he got up and looked around the room for a moment, seeing that Tasusa had already left the living room for one reason or another. "Tasusa!?" He called out, hoping she would answer so he could figure out where she was.

Making his way around the house, he eventually headed upstairs, blinking for a moment when he saw the door to their bedroom closed. Slowly opening it a little, he peeked his head through, noticing Tasusa in bed underneath the covers and pillow. "Tasusa? Are you alright?" He asked softly as he stepped further into the room.

Xaix heard the light noise she made, he knew this was about his reaction to the news. Walking over to her side of the bed, he leaned over her a little, placing his hands gently on her shoulders. "Tasusa, I'm sorry about how I reacted when you said you were pregnant, it was just a little overwhelming..." He explained, pulling the pillow away from her face. Once done, he tilted her head until their gaze met, he smiled lovingly at her. "I didn't mean to give the impression that I don't want the baby." He said, Xaix's words showing that he hadn't been able to hear what she said about twins the first time.

Xaix was about to open his mouth again, but stopped when she said it was twins. "Bab-ies?" He repeated, part of him felt a little like fainting again. He paused for a moment before giving a small short laugh, smiling at Tasusa. "Of course I don't mind. We're going to be parents." He said standing up and heading to the window. Opening it, he began yelling out to nothing in particular. WE'RE GOING TO BE PARENTS!" He exclaimed. Now that all the overwhelmed feeling had faded, he was exctatic now. Heading back to Tasusa again, he kissed her before looking down at her stomach and placing a hand on it, smiling back up at her in joy. "I can't believe this is happening, we're going to have children!"
