Before we even get into races and such there are a few rules that need to be taken note of, despite how everyone should already know these we have had someone who apparently has forgotten them (thus they are now currently banned).

Absolutely no god-moding, unless you are given permission you cannot kill another character or make that character move or anything of that sort.

PLEASE NOTE: These are not ALL of the races you can be, just a few to give you all an idea of what you might want to be. If you think of something not on the list but you think it would work yet are still curious than contact Laeriel Rhuilea, the guild captain.

Races you cannot be:
Lich's of any sort, Demi-gods, gods, Elemental dragons (if you have questions about this please ask Alara Morningstar, she is the dragon expert of this guild).

If you even make a profile with any of the above races before consulting us we will delete it, contact you, tell you why and refer you back to these simple rules.

Races

➟Humans
The mortal race of men dominates most of Roanor. They are strong, determined, stubborn, and are formidable foes even though most are not born with any innate magical abilities. The immortal king Silaedron rules them from the capital city Gorondrel.

➟Elves
Elves have always been relatively secretive, but since Silaedron ascended to the throne of men over two hundred years ago, they have become even more so. All elves share a profound love of nature and life, but consider their immortal existence a curse. Elves can be distinguished by the pale ethereal glow they emit, the beauty of their features, and the grace of their movements. Many of these fair beings ave become slaves to men after being taken when the city of Niethron was captured.

➟Dark Elves
Dark elves were once elves of the light, but were corrupted by the goddess Koranis. She convinced them to leave their home in Duraneth and live in Queros' Nordor. The dark magic they practice has altered their features so that the hair is black, silver, midnight blue, or indigo, their eyes are dark, and the deathly pallor of their skin. Like their lighter cousins, most dark elves are well versed in combat and the arcane arts.

➟Kornaks
They are the bane of Roanor, strong, swift, intelligent. They vaguely resemble large wolves, but are larger, reaching the shoulder of an average man. The blood that flows threw their veins burns flesh; but if boiled down and mixed with the right herbs, it can be an effective albeit painful way to cure infection. These solitary creatures were created by Koranis to serve her on earth, and call Queros' Nordor home.

➟Dark Falcons
There are few birds that are nearly as beautiful, deadly, and dangerous as the dark falcons. Their wingspan is over fifteen feet long, and their talons and beak are sharper than knives and red as the blood they spill. Sleek black feathers are tipped with crimson; their song is almost painful to listen to. They soar above the peaks of Queros' Nordor, feasting on anything and everything that breathes.

➟Dwarves
The dwarves are a proud race who while are smaller than any other are also physically stronger than any other such as humans, elves, and Halflings. Stories of their beginnings say they resided in mountains or beneath the ground, adding to the idea of them being a race that has endured much and thus have become a very resilient people. Dwarves are known to live long lives but they are not an immortal race, think around two hundred years or so. They make for excellent warriors and are known for holding some of the best berserkers in their ranks, but not only are they known for their amazing warriors but for their even more outstanding ale.

➟Windigo // Wendigo
They have a multitude of different names that they are known by, but a common one is Windigo or Wendigo. They are in no way shape or form a kind or peaceful race. They are a cannibalistic race that is thought to either be possessed by a cannibalistic spirit or are humans who have indulged in cannibalism and thus turned into a Windigo. WIndigos are not good-looking creatures but it is not improbable for them to have a human form although when they have their form revealed it is not uncommon for people to band together to prevent Windigo’s from more devastation.

➟Swan Maidens // Selkies // Seal Men
Swan maidens and selkies are extremely similar to the other. Selkies and Swan maidens (it is possible for there to be men in both of these) remove their swan feathers or seal skin to become human. Any of the skin they remove turns into some sort of garb that they keep hidden to prevent people from finding, but it is not untold for the selkie/swan maidens/men skin to be stolen. In this case they are bound to that person and forced to obey every command. It is not impossible for these two races to fall in love with someone and serve them without losing their magical abilities. When these races have children it is possible for the children to sing songs of where the mother/father has hidden the clothing, allowing them to recapture their lost skin. When this occurs they will leave the one from those who had stolen their skin as well as the children they could have had.

➟ Dragons
A dragon's aging begins at an accelerated rate after they hatch and will slow to a halt around their 8th to 10th human year of life, which is the time where they are reaching the physical age of a full grown. Once a dragon is full grown it is then considered an adult, because of this such relationships between a dragon of a dozen years old may in fact mate with one barely a few hundred years old. Young dragons can only have an affinity for a handful of things. If they can spit fire they are cannot produce acid or lightning, if they can control plants or rocks then they cannot spit fire. Due to their longevity dragons spend their time finding ways to keep themselves entertained while trying to keep things in 'balance'. This means different things to each dragon. Where one may believe that they must keep the balance of nature versus tamed lands, others will think of the balance or power, of good and evil, others will still be setting about freeing slaves. They do this by taking up professions and forms of other races. Doing anything from being assassins to cause intrigue or to be gaurds in order to play the government. However, being a secretive race they MUST keep their true forms hidden, this also includes using their powers in excess. If a dragon is found out and captured they are often times sold in pieces for the magical properties of their scales, feathers, and hair. This can and will put all other dragons at risk so it is at the dragons digression whom they open up to. It is forbidden to take other beings into the realm of dragons. As creatures of magic if they use too much of their power they can risk using their very life force and risking death. Another ability a dragon has is to share life forces with other races but only through sharing a part of an organ (i.e. heart or liver) but being a magical species they end up with their life being permanently attached to the other person. Always sharing poisons, pains, and damage makes one stronger but the dragon weaker. The main way to kill a dragon is to get beneath the dragon's scales, if you can accomplish such a task you can have the upper hand in the fight.
Dragons have to remain reclusive otherwise they can bring themselves and other dragons at risk. If they became too much trouble they are liable to be attacked by not only other dragons but also hunters as well.

➟Aviarians
Aviarians are a subspecies of harpies and because of this they are shunned, believed to be the work of Koranis when in truth they are Dresd'in's children. For the most part though Aviarians look amazingly similar to humans themselves besides the fact that they have wings and depending on genetics the wingspan for an Aviarian will average around 9 to 13 feet and those are the normal sizes. Aviarian wings do fold in, they can be hidden very easily as it will merely look like the wings are just muscle beneath clothing or could be mistaken for an underarmor, remember the larger the wingspan makes it more difficult to hide the wings. The large the wingspan, the more attractive the individual.

➟Harpies
Harpies are the cousins of Aviarians and were created by Koranis. They can be a multitude of predatory birds but the most common they are known for is being half vulture, half human. Harpies usually look less human and take more birdlike features, they also have a larger wingspan then most Aviarians. Harpies, although despite how they can fold their wings back they are usually noticed, i.e. the larger the wingspan the harder it is to hide your wings. An unusual fact about harpies is that they are particularly fond of things that are shiny, jewelry is something that you might find most harpies nests stashed with, so much so their nests will sparkle in the night. Harpies are also known for pillaging and kidnapping people, those who are taken are rumored to be taken back to the nests where they are eaten and never heard from again.

⊱ Royal Elite Guards
They are a diverse group of skilled warriors. On duty, they are stoic, but off duty, they often act like 'Well trained adolescents'
The elite guards are Roanor's best warriors, who begin training at a young age. These swords masters are garbed in dark blue and black uniforms that allow them to blend in with the shadows. The simple elegance of their fighting is a dance; their economy of movement grace itself. They never shift their feet of swing their blade more than required. Many people tend to keep away from these guards.

⊱Rangers
They live and guard the forests of Roanor, and have a special connection to wildlife not unlike that of the elves. Rangers do not have much connection to civilization and are mostly a nomadic. Some say they are descended from elves however, their features do not much resemble those of the elves.

⊱Paladins
The Paladin is a mix between two roles. It takes the magic from the mage as well as the fighting abilities from being a holy knight as well, but they receive their ‘magic’ abilities through the blessings of the creator(s) that they worship not from actually having any magical talents. They are considered to be a holy character and cannot wear something that seems evil or willing commit an act that is evil. If a paladin ever does decide to do such a thing they will lose all of their creator-given abilities and become one of The Fallen. The paladin has a strict set of codes that requires him/her to abide by the law, act with honor, to help those who would ever need aid, and to punish those who would prove to harm or even threaten innocent people. All of these acts are to be committed for the good of the people. Know that a paladin would never consult with anyone who is evil or offends the moral code that a paladin stands for. Some abilities of the paladin involve healing (although this should be used sparingly), they are able to provide protection for teammates, and also can provide buffs (blessings) that can provide for strong defensive or offensive abilities. Paladins can also call for their creators help, but this is an act of pure desperation and should be used only in an act of extraordinary measures, but you cannot pray for yourself it must be for your comrades whether fallen or not. If a paladin ever does do something that can be considered greedy or for themselves they can and will be punished by those they worship.

⊱The Fallen
The Fallen, they are a group who has abandoned their previous ideas and morals to become part of a guild that is considered evil. They do not come from a specific race and they may not technically be evil, but their morals have become corrupt. To signify that they are part of the Fallen each member undergoes the process of marking, in which they obtain a Fallen brand. The Fallen has risen from the once small pack they used to be to a notorious and famed guild in which they are constantly selling their services to gain money or other prized possessions they are interested in. The Fallen are mainly known for the people they have in the group, whether they are vicious, cunning, or just overall a morally lacking person. The Fallen do not discriminate but they do have tests that they put all newcomers through.

⊱Demons
Demons are considered an unholy creature that appears in the world through human hosts from the offers that they provide people. Mainly these demons take the body permanently through deals made to people who may be less than intelligent but on rare occasions you will get the person who can trick a demon. The demons become a physical part of the world through the human hosts that they take as otherwise they would be extremely visible in the world. The type of demons that can appear are numerous, no one knows how many sub-species of demons there are, but there are the few who are fascinated and continue to keep records of the demons noticed. Some of those demons would be desire demons and a sub-species of desire demons could be succubuses or incubi. Elemental demons, which possess forms of elemental beings of fire, earth, water, or air even. Demons are not a kind race and will do whatever they want if it is in their best interest, even if that means having to play nice for a while.

⊱Sergeons
Surgeon is just a fancy name for a cleric. A surgeon is a magic user who had focused all of their magical abilities into healing and other supportive magical talents that can be used to help their teammates in battle. Surgeons apprentices, which are called Nurses, are easily confused with their masters by other magics and non-magic users alike. Although the difference is Surgeons have the ability to do a healing move called Revive. Master surgeons have the ultimate move called Group Revive, which can revive up to five players but it uses up a large portion of the surgeons mana.

⊱Nurses
Nurses, the apprentices to the clerics have begun training their magical talents in the way of healing and other supportive magic. They are known to follow Surgeons around for years following in their masters footsteps and once they become skilled enough they will eventually be donned with the title, Surgeon. They can do similar things like Surgeons but are limited. Unlike the surgeons though Nurses have much more mana available at their disposal and this allows them to continuously use minor healing spells rather than using a large amount of mana on a large healing spell.

⊱Rogues
Rogues, otherwise known as thieves, are well known for their stealth and the stealing abilities they possess. These abilities consist of picking locks, picking pockets, disarming and arming traps, and poison-making. They are dependent on their agility for quick getaways and flexibility in getting in and out of places they plan on making their next target. Rogues have the option of being either close combat or ranged combat depending on the weapons they choose. It is not unlikely to see a rogue either using two swords or daggers at a time when in close combat. A rogue can make a variety of different poisons that can either kill or just temporarily incapacitate a person. This is similar with their trap-making skill. They can make dangerous, even fatal traps if they set their mind to it, but they can also make minor traps that are only meant to do minor damage to enemies. With poison and trap-making rogues will start at making minor traps before they will be able to make traps that are fatal.

⊱Assassins
An Assassin is merely just another type of rogue, only this rogue is much more dangerous in their environment of the shadows. They have left behind their old life of stealing for a much more luxurious style of living. Most assassins sell their services for a costly fee and they become killers for the simple fact of that they enjoy having a bit of blood on their hands. An assassin although they still have the ability of the rogue stick to what a client wants when they are on a mark, sometimes that consists of a knife to the back other times poison and other times they are given creative license to do what they please. Assassins cannot make as skilled traps as rogues and are only specialized in one weapon of their choice unlike the rogues option of being able to dual wield.

⊱Bards
The Bard is another specialization of the rogue, but they do not make traps or poison. These rogues travel with an easily carried musical instrument in which they can play and sing songs on that can have various effects on their teammates and enemies alike. The bards are a rogue that has magical talents that they use to induce magical effects through their instruments; some of these effects consist of illusions, and defensive as well as offensive buffs. Some bards retain the nicknames of satyr’s for the fact that some with their instruments can make illusions to lure the enemy into a sense of safety before the rest of the team delivers a swift strike to the opponent. A bard’s song may not always work on an enemy with strong enough will but that does not mean it will always fail on a strong-willed opponent. Bard’s although they have their music as a weapon also carry a small one-handed weapon of their choice in case it comes down to fighting in close combat.

⊱Battle Mages
Battle Mages although similar to the mage differ through the fact that they have undergone fierce training in which enables them to fight in close-combat. These mages use weapons that are forged to be magic-infused which allows them to direct their magic through the weapon and give them an advantage in combat. This does not mean they have stopped using magic from afar; they can easily pull back and shoot off a lightning bolt if they felt the urge to do so.

⊱Rangers
Elven rangers, Sentinels, are known for their grace and elegance as well as their ferocity. Rangers live and breathe to guard the forests in which they reside in. They have little to no connection with civilization and much like the human rangers are mostly nomadic. Elven rangers not unlike their human counterparts have a similar connection to the wildlife around them although theirs is known to be stronger than that of a human ranger. Some rangers even possess enough magic that they are able to summon an animal that they have specifically bonded with, although this is not a truth for all rangers.

⊱Arcane Artificers
An Arcane Artificer is one who has taken up with magic. This magic can either be dark or light based, it is all dependent on the person who has the ability to wield such powers to make the choice. Most of the artificer’s have a specific element which they are strongest in, but this does not make them limited to just one area of magic.

⊱Beserkers *Dark elf only*
Beserkers are known for their strength, viciousness, and battle expertise on the field. It is a well known fact to usually avoid them on the battle field as most of those come in contact with a beserker do not live long afterwords. Most beserkers are known for their blood lust, whether seeing blood that is their own or their enemies they will go into an unstoppable frenzy in which anything in their path will come under a heavy barrage of attacks. Although this does not mean ALL beserkers have blood lust but rather a specific trigger that sets them off but for some this consists of blood, this trigger could even perhaps be a disliked word. Another well-known fact about beserkers is that they are known for being hot-headed.

⊱Necromancers *Dark elf only*
A Necromancer is a type of dark artificer which consists about bringing things otherwise thought of as dead back to life, but there is a catch. Anything brought back through necromancy is undead. Usually necromancers do not fight close-combat but rather from a distance although this is not a universal truth, making their summoned warriors do everything that requires brute force. Necromancers are not limited in the range of death but can also use other black arts, such as blood magic and curses.

⊱Druids
Druids, similar to the ranger, live mainly outside of cities and choose to stay in areas where they are surrounded by nature. They, although unlike the ranger, have the ability to call multiple animals rather than having one familiar and are constantly in-tune with nature itself. Any act against nature, including animals, they find it blasphemous and usually despise those who do it. Most druids have the ability to communicate and calm aggravated animals, which makes druids incredibly empathic to nature itself. It is also common that many druids have their own familiar, but view their familiar as more of a friend rather than a pet.

⊱Dark Falcon Scouts
Dark Falcon Scouts, they are extremely small compared to their brethren the Dark Falcons. Their wingspan only coming to seven feet long, but their beaks are stronger than their brothers and they have an extra talon to latch on to their prey while they tear into them. The sharper talons and beaks are meant to kill foes within a single blow, whether the death occurs from shock or they get in a killing blow to their foes.

*Thanks to Momma Kat for creating most of these sections. You're awesome!
