Squish, went Mindy's slipper as she stepped on something not exactly terra firma. The pale-haired girl looked down, almost dramatically slowly moving her foot over.
"Emily, you left your boob here." Was all she managed to get our before her eyebrow started twitching, simply because the lack of the other half was greatly disturbing her symmetrical perception of all things perfect and beautiful. Nevermind that her own tie for the Halloween costume party in the haunted house was still not done up, or that her shirt collar was heavily inclining towards the left of her shoulder. She stamped her foot impatiently. "Where is that butler anyway, he sure is taking a long time to get my blazer ironed."
Nevermind that Mindy had sent it back twelve times already because the creases were not ironed perfectly.
Alarmed, Emily's hands shot to her chest and felt around, and then back to Mindy. Twitch?! Oh no! "My apologies Miss!" Quickly she scooped it up and re-applied the newly bought enhancement. It took a few moments to get it to perfectly match up with the other one, the last thing the maid wanted was to further upset her mistress. As it was, she felt a little ashamed. Sure, it was to match Miss Mindy, but she normally liked having a figure and appearance that suited the other girl's aesthetics. And don't even get her started on the blonde wig! With it's side-part and curls.
Self conciously giveing herself a few more tweaks and pats, Emily went to work on Mindy's tie. Efficient and delicate, her hands briskly fixed and straightened. "If he doesn't get it right this time, I'll take care of things, Miss," she murmured darkly, indicating that more than the blazer would be taken care of. Not wanting the other to worry about such mundane matters, she went on, "But you do look very dashing even without it, Miss!"
Admittedly, Mindy felt much better upon seeing her tie straightened. Her eyebrow stopped twitching as she self-conciously adjusted her shirt, staring at herself in the mirror, Emily always knew how to make things just right. "I do so love looking dashing." Not to mention it was a two-syllable word, which was even and thus symmetrical and perfect. A pause. "Yes in that case, let us proceed without my blazer, there are quite a few preparations for us to deal with first."
And by preperations, she meant a long list of tasks to be done, all recorded on her bound notebook in neat print. "Did we get all the fish tanks safely delivered, Emily? Don't want our valued products being damaged after all." Mindy was rather excited about the event, she loved managing things, especially anything related to numbers, preferrably ones with nice round zeroes.
Interacting in festivities was also a great way to scout out potential 'cooperatives' and minions. "Also, what do you think are the chances that we'll see a more appropriate pet for one such as myself at this party?"
Face serious, Emily confirmed, "The tanks have arrived at the agreed upon location. There were some delays due to health violations, zoning issues, and worries concerning animal rights activists. Also, the labs were strangely reluctant to let go of some failed experiments. Fortunately, things were resolved in a peaceable manner, and everything is moving forward as planned." Was that a bit of disappointment lingering about the word "peaceable" ? No, of course not! After all, everything was going Miss Mindy's way right now, which meant everything was going Emily's way as well. Even if that way didn't involve any of the more interesting persuasion techniques she'd never had the opprotunity to try. Yet. There was still the butler after all.
Finished with her report, the maid went on, frowning slightly, "It's difficult to say Miss, as a creature worthy of yourself is likely as rare as you are. Like a unicorn." Emily's face darkened, she had yet to find one of those, despite years of searching and a carefully monitored state of virginity.
Mindy hoped the 'peaceable manner' had involved guns and some dead bodies. She so loved resolute closures when it came to arguements. Simply procuring their artifacts had involved a lot of persuation and dubiousness; but Mindy knew there was nothing she couldn't accomplish with her brilliant tactics. Even the procurement of certain uneven blazers from incompetent butlers.
"All according to plan then." She unconsciously re-adjusted her tie, pleased that Emily had likened her to unicorn, as they always had perfect hair. "Shall we move to phase two then, Miss p***y Galore?" Sadly, the actual connotation of the name was lost on her, having found the title off wikipedia and all. "I trust that you brought all our ah, extra supplies?"
