Anna unlocked the door and turned the lights on. It was pretty empty except for 2 new couches and mountains of boxes. She sat down on the couch while looking down at her lap. I really hurt you didn't I? She clutched her skirt as she said the word hurt.

Ryu came in and sat on the couch opposite of Anna. He looked down as he began speaking. "You had to go and I..I had to understand..." he said not looking at her.

Ryu looked up at Anna as soon as she said her last comment. "Not worth my death? Monica, you're worth my entire life, how can I not want to commit suicide? My entire life has been a joke. My parent's never loved me, they died when I was seven years old...my only family was you and Satoshi, but Satoshi betrayed us. You were the only thing left on my life, but suddenly...you leave too. It's just too much pain.." he said as he clenched his fists and a single tear dropped down his cheek.

I thought that we could get through anything. That distance wasn't a problem for us...That you would keep me in your heart like I kept you in mine. Anna still looked down but now looked at her engagement ring. You gave me this because you believed in that too.
(Ok Ryu needs to get over the self pity.)

(yea i know. it's kinda like when anna had that low self esteem thing. he had gotten over it but her "departure" made him remember it.)
"A ring only symbolizes a promise, it really doesn't mean anything unless you take action into it. I've been trying to keep believing in that too. That's why I still have my engagement ring. I have never taken it off since you left. Forget about my parents, forget about Satoshi, but....forget about you? What you're saying is like telling me I should've gone with someone else after you left." Ryu said as he stood up and sighed deeply as he looked down at the floor. He then looked at Anna and smiled at her sadly. "I'm sorry we had to talk like this after so much time. I think I should leave you alone and let you be." he said as he walked towards the door.

Anna wanted to stop him but sat still. I'm sorry. If you do want someone else to marry I won't blame you or stop you. She grew her wings and looked at them out of the corner of her eye. These weren't worth it. She ripped one off, ignoring the bleeding, and threw it agansit the wall with a puff of feathers.

Ryu turned quickly around and gave Anna a semi-frowning look. "Why you do that? We don't want to be the wingless husband and wife do we?" he said jokingly as he walked towards Anna. "Sit down. I'll got get a towel and ice. That helped me when I lost my wing."
(he's trying to lighten the mood. It's his way of more or less proposing...again stare btw, he's still not his old self yet)

"You're angel skills have improved greatly. If Aphrodite approves that alliance, it is probable we'll win." Ryu said as he began thinking about work again. "Oh, and did you do that on purpose or you simply didn't get it?" Ryu asked emotionless.

Anna sighed and got a peice of paper and pen from one of the boxes. She wrote a quick note then zapped it to aphrodite in a flash of light. Wait for it. A knock came from the door as a pink envelope was pushed through the mail slot. She passed the note to him, uninterested as she rummuged through some of the boxes.
Why should I send my precious angels down into that horrid underworld of your's?

Ryu read the letter and began to write back.
The human world is in perril as for it seems that a great menance has come back to kill us all. It is in times of this that it would be prudent to form alliances, not only with us demons, but also with sages. The alliance if you wish can be momentary, but if it could last longer then it would be an honor. Please considerate this offer greatly as many lives depend on it.

Of course it does. Anna said to herself and sent the letter. Well that part didn't change about him.
~I still don't see what that has to do with me or my angels. The whole reason we live in a hidden realm is to stay far away from humans, demons, and whoever else.

Ryu sighed and looked at Anna. "Aphrodite isn't very friendly with people who aren't angels huh?" Ryu said a bit angry by Aphrodite's respond.
~The point is that the Angel's help in the war against Thextra will be very helpful indeed, therefore I'm asking for you to send an army to help us defeat him.~
