AntiKhrist Black-Heart That It Will Be Indeed, But Do The Think The Change Will Be Better? Having ICS Vortex & Mustis (OJM) seems like a dramatic lost for the Norwegian symphonic black metal band. But it does not mean having them leaving is a negative situation for the band. For albums by Dimmu Borgir - In Sorte Diaboli involving Vortex and Mustis was a disappointment by many die hard fans of the Norwegian black metal scene. Considering it showing a different side of the band, well for most part not better. Well, I do hope that the band finds the right members to replace long ago members for the sake for doing it 3nodding . And hopefully, the album won't be a as crummy like the last couple.

Though I haven't heard it myself, a friend of mine has enlightened me to the introduction of female vocals being present in the new single from the album.
One of these days I'll finally check it out..
As for my thoughts.. I don't know what to think or expect. I'm holding my breath until it's dropped officially.
I'm yearning for a new Enslaved album at the moment - Below The Lights is still amazing.

I'm not quite sure what to say of dimmu borgir's new single......they've done better in the past....... btw their new single is called Gateways.

Well to be frank, all of early Dimmu Borgir was better. I will admit my favorite track they've released is Blessings Upon The Throne Of Tyranny. *EDIT* I've listened to Gateways and my judgment is meh. It's decent, but not what I wanted to hear for sure.

this album, for me, just relied way too much on the symphonic factor of their music; so much that the guitars seem like background instruments except the solo.
Not trying to compare haha but new cradle of filth keeps their production pretty even compared to new dimmu borgir

I didnt read through every post, so Im unsure if this has been stated. And take note I am NOT a listener or fan of Dimmu Borgir. But on the new album the tack 'Gateways' the female vocals portrayed in the song are done by Vortex himself, they were manipulated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP3HAN2OoAAReason being why I dont listen to Dimmu Borgir- they're fake. but Vortex is undeniably an amazing vocalist and should put his talent to much better use than to Dimmu. imo
