So I just watched the movie Session 9, which influenced a lot of things in Silent Hill 3. (For example, in the hospital when you go down the hall and see the knocked over wheelchair with the wheel spinning)
Now, most people would find this film boring, for being "slow" but, we're all Silent Hill fans here, I think we appreciate the psychological aspect over the slashers that most associate with horror these days.
I enjoyed this movie immensely, and even had to change my signature to the ending lines of the film.
So, I just had to ask, has anyone else seen this film? And if you have, what other things have you seen in the game that could have been influenced by Session 9?

i have seen that movie its really scary and it influenced all of the silent hill games or at least the first couple of them before they started being all experimental i think 3 was the last one that was effected by this movie at all.
also i have not seen it but i heard jacobs ladder was also an influence on the silent hill series. but i dont know for sure so sorry if thats wrong.

I'm pretty sure Jacob's Ladder is also a big influence. I think there are a few nods in its direction in Silent Hill 3. But it's been ages since I have seen Jacob's Ladder so I couldn't tell you what they were. That's another one I need to rewatch.

The Bergen Street subway from the beginning was (I think) the biggest Silent Hill 3 influence, among others of course. Ah, it's so amazing! heart heart

While this is a bit of a late response, I do feel like adding on something. I feel that perhaps all the Silent Hill games should have put in their credits what some of the influences were, you know? It's evident to me from this topic that we gathered a lot of additional experience from watching these movies, and I think that could only be strengthened by a listed sheet of all influences to the series we love so much.
