If you had a loved one that died, and you were really desperate to bring them back from the dead, would you have done the same thing that Ed and Al did, Human Transmutation?

Actually, the same thing happened to me. Granted, I was a few years older, had a dad (if you could call him that, the *$%), more (in quantity) family than they did. But I went through the grieving process and came out better for it. I don't think the Elric's really finished the grieving process till after they realized their mistake.

The dead ought to sleep forever. None of my close relatives have died and I've never gone to a funeral. But I still live by the first line.

I've never really had a close loved one die, so I really don't know what it feels like..... All I have are descriptions from book, anime, tv ect. I know that's not much, but if I was in they're position, and I actually had the power to try and do so. Yes. I know it ruined they're lives, but, they learned from it and it probably would have ended up as one of those 'I winder what had happened if I had done something different' moments where they're decision to not tortures them in the end. Also they were at such a young age; they didn't really know the aspects of 'right' and 'wrong' completely at thy age. Child prodigies or not. If anything it proves why that kind of power should be kept away from those who don't know how to use it. Scaring mistakes were made. Ones that ruined they're lives. Sure everything worked out in the end, but lots of people died, and if they hadn't been so lucky they would have to.

If I didn't know the consequences that would come from it I might.

*shrugs* don`t know, i mean iv lost loved one`s and ya you want them back..but most people who see what they had brought back freak out...i think the dead should be left dead, cherish the memories you had with your loved ones, you will always long for them, but there in a a better place and what you bring back might not be them at all..
