As seen in the 2 links above, it's not really a surprise that Wada is going to look into making a 360 version of Versus. Whether this is a good thing or not, who knows? The jury's still out on whether the 360 port had anything to do with the design of FFXIII. There's quite a vocal, large group of people that were very disappointed in that game.

Wada really shouldn't be surprised by the outrage either.

edit: 2nd link's been deleted. Thanks for the heads up. Wonder why that article isn't there anymore...

I swear if they make it for the 360 I'm going to scream then still buy it for the PS3...it's stupid because they'll just have to dumb it down for the 360 so it can handle it...I hope it stays PS3 Exclusive.

Wanted to let ya know that second link of yours isn't there anymore.

There was a follow up message from Wada trying to settle people's minds I guess, saying that for now it's still a PS3 exclusive.

I'd like it to be on the 360... as long as it isn't too watered down from what they had in mind, i'd like to see it go multiplat. i don't have a PS3, so. mad

I want to see the end of various fascinations that seem fragile

Iakun: That doesn't reassure me at all. I mean all that is saying is that for now they won't but later they still might. I pray it stays a PS3 exclusive.

Eternalized Oath: For it to be on the 360 and not be watered down it would have to be several discs long and most gamers aren't going to have that. They'd be pissed because "Well they only have one disc why do I have to have 7?" I don't have a PS3 either or a 360 either for that matter, but I'm going to eventually get a PS3.

Another reason I prefer it to stay exclusive to PS3 is so that way they focus on it not how they're going to cut corners so it fits on both systems or how to code it so both system can read it or whatever else goes into that. Just one system means it'll come out faster and I don't have to wait another year for it to be translated and then to come out for me.

I think the 360 could handle the game. The 360 handled XIII just fine albeit with some degradation to image quality. I don't think 360 owners would hate having a million discs. The problem is that Square-Enix themselves wouldn't want the game to take up too many discs to begin with. This is where the possible watering down comes from: the lower capacity of DVD's versus Blu-ray.

Although blaming discs seems kind of silly. Ultimately the blame has to fall on Square if they make a bad product. It's their choice to make it bad. lol

If the 360 version could be made without cutting any corners or limiting the PS3 version, then I think that would be okay.

*nods* This is true I'll admit that. Blaming the systems and their discs and such isn't really the thing it's the programmers and Square itself that is to blame. They just need to make a product and give as much time and effort as is needed to make a proper RPG again.

Also though it is those that handle the translation too because by time it comes over stuff is lost whether things are changed in translation or it is "not suitable for American viewing audience" or whatever the reason they change stuff.

I want the whole freakin thing from start to finish as it was made, without it being watered down, without things being altered, and without it being substandard, half arsed, and just slapped together to make money off of. Is that really to much to ask?

*blink blink* Oops...I kind of went into a bit of a rant there. sweatdrop My bad. Sorry! redface

Yes you are getting a bit ranty and off topic now lol But for translations, I have to say that Japanese and English are very different languages, and on top of them being very different languages our cultures and ways of speaking are very different too. It's only natural an English script would sound different. But what's important is that they keep the original meaning of the lines and scenes intact.
