Until The Light Takes Us is a 2009 feature documentary about Norwegian black metal, from directors Aaron Aites and Audrey Ewell. The film features interviews with the originators of black metal, including Varg Vikernes who is interviewed in prison, where he was incarcerated for killing a bandmate. The film attempts to unravel the truth behind the church burnings and murders committed by a group of young musicians the media called "Satanists", but who, in reality, had far different motives. The film focuses mainly on the events surrounding the genesis, rise, and continuation of the genre and the people that created it. Originally scheduled for release November 20, 2009, it premiered in the U.S. on December 4, 2009. Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sr_RaCM-1ug

No, not as of yet, but from a few friends of mine I've heard it's good. Not great, not terrible, but good. That's fair enough for me, as one of these days, soon, I'll be checking it out and reviewing on here.
Yourself?
(That picture is sooo MASSIVE)

I haven't seen it yet myself, but I had received an invite from those guys when they were here in AZ. Unfortunately I couldn't go because Natalie was so young and it meant a 2 hour drive sad

Hmmm, once the movie starts to play, it says unlock the page to continue. Wonder what that is about? Oh well, I'll find some way to watch.

I'm downloading it now, hopefully I'll get it burned on a disc and be watching tonight. I haven't even watched yet, but my only complaint is that it seems all BM documentaries are based out of Norway. So, I will post my thoughts after I watch it. I'm sure it's great, though.

That was just a bummer. I downloaded it, but it was only audio, no video. Oh well, thanks for helping out. I think next weekend when I get time I'll do some searching.

I don't even remember what format it was in, I deleted it. But it wouldn't be a problem no matter what format it was because I could just burn it to disc and my dvd player plays almost all formats... When I went to burn it, there was an error, so I couldn't even get that far.

confused Is the film split in different parts, because I remember combining parts together, so that burning process is made possible.
