~☆:do you have realistic feelings in your dreams?:☆~i've spoken to many people who have never had the experience. which i thought it was strange because i thought it was very common. do you know what i mean? like, if someone touches you, you can feel it. if your hurt you'll have the pain. everything like that. well i always feel things in my dreams. i either love it or hate it. i only love it was i'm having good dreams, but nightmares... really... i don't enjoy the feeling of being cut up from horror movie characters.
the creepy but cool part however, is sometimes. i will dream of someone before i meet them. and they're smell, actions and the way they feel are exactly how they are in real life. so sometimes i think if i dream of kissing a famous person, would that mean that's how they actually feel like during a kiss in real life? so far nothing has been wrong. so why would that be?
any thoughts? do any of you feel things during your dreams? do you also have dreams of people before you meet them?

I tend to have that realistic vibe when in my dreams I'm physically exerting myself by running, lifting things, pulling things, pushing things; any kind of resistance with something beit the ground or another object. Most commonly I get the feeling in my more... Intimate dreams. whee

And I believe they're called "epic dreams" when they feel real like that, because they usually seem to go on forever and have such a realistic twist that it's hard to tell if you're dreaming or awake.

yeah, my dreams are like that. Its hard to tell that I'm dreaming when my dreams are of normal people and places. Still the dreams of strange and unusual things, its still vivid.

The feelings always feel realistic when I first wake up, then gradually fade. Except those times when I dream about being late. That panic always stays for a couple of hours, unfortunately. Even later, I'm jittery and jumpy without of coffee to be seen.

I've only had a dream like that three times. The first one I was about six and I met a white wolf in the woods. The second one I was stabbed by a demon to save my friends (who were very ungrateful stare ) and the third I was a wolf running in the woods. They were amazing dreams (all but the being stabbed part, after that one I woke up and could barely breath my chest hurt so much.)

realistic feeling dreams? yep... i get that whenever i have a dream XD
i hated this because in one dream i had a bomb go off beside me and it blew off my arm, and sent stinging burning hot shrappenal threw out my body... and stabbed... and shot... ouch...
but i love this because in dreams that are not about future or past wars, i can truly feel free, and sometimes its the most beautiful thing ever...
but when Gamigin was around... i have never hated dreaming so much in my life. but now.. i love dreaming its a way for me to feel at peace, a way for me to feel free once again, not bound by this prison of a body.

Yes. I have a lot of dreams where it almost seems realistic. The feelings are completely real, I tend to wake up crying or completely freaked out by those feelings.
And sometimes I dream about things that happen a few weeks later. Mostly situations or something that someone says. And I'm like 'Hey I dreamed that'. Caused my to space out for a moment. Gives me this strange tickling feeling.

I'm awed by your description of your dreams.
I dream in first person and I dream in color, both of which I am told are not all that common. Although I would occasionally have a dream so realistic it was frightening, I am usually able to comprehend that I am in my dream world, and to sometimes alter the events as I choose. This comes in particularly handy since I usually have some pretty horrific dreams.
However, since becoming pregnant I have noticed an extreme spike in my dream activity, matching somewhat to the descriptions of a lot of you here. I had a dream last night that was so incredibly detailed that I awoke and actually gave THANKS that it was just a dream. . .
Do you find that what you do routinely before bed makes a difference in the type or the intensity of the dream you have?

I have read people only dream in black and white, or a lot less color than usual. I dream in color as well. It's one of the things I write down in my journal. Which colors were around the most.
I used to have nightmares all the time, at least 4 times a week. My mother wanted me to see a shrink. Didn't really helped much but they are gone now. (so I suppose that maybe it did helped) Thing is, those dreams felt so feel. I had dreams that were like those movies Saw.
But I also have dreams that I wake up crying because it is another dream (I have 'em a lot) that I am losing my boyfriend. Those emotions and feelings I feel in that dream tend to be very strong. That I wake up freaking out.
But I have had a few dreams that I've seen symbols I just can't forget, or that someone says something in that dream that keeps spinning around my hand. Like it's trying to tell me something. And those dreams I never forget.
I have been looking for a book about dreams, but I can't find a good one.

I think that the reason some dreams are so vivid and have physical reprocussions are because its a mind over matter thing. I.E.- if your mind belives something strong enough it can make you feel things physically. If you are familiar with those depression commercials where it says depression hurts all over its because you mind is trasfering mental pain into physical pain. It also works with pleassure when you are happy you feel good right? Or if you get physically injured but your happy it doesnt hurt as much. if you think about it "laughter is the best medicine" it makes sence....
Sometimes when i'm dreaming and there are other sounds going on that gets transfered into my dream. One time my brother and dad were listening to a movie really loud and the sounds made me dream of someone with crutches fighting a dragon. eek Or Once i was sharing a room with my grandma and she was snoring in my dream i was watching TV and every time she snored the TV fussed.
And my favorite is when i lived in a house with no walls and my parents would stya up late and my dad would read out of this huge book to my mom I always heard the words and drempt about the story. My parents would always laugh the next day when i told them my dreams.

Sometimes I will feel the pain or feeling when something is done to me, but it's very slight. Usually, I'm not being touched at all. confused

I'm usually fairly cut off from my dreams emotionally, but once I had a dream my best friend got hit by a car and died. I woke up nearly having a panic attack. It took several minutes of calm breathing to make myself relax.
