Wow is right! That's remarkable that a girl that young could be brave enough to do that. I don't know much about Yemen, but in other places just as repressing to women, she could have been beaten or even executed just for leaving the house unescorted by her husband- let alone walking into a courthouse and demanding a judge to give her a divorce. Amazing.
It's so wonderful that she caused such a ripple effect too, inspiring other abused girls to do the same. And I think it's fantastic that she wants to be a lawyer one day.

You know, honestly I'm not sure that I would be brave enough to do it, personally. Especially at her age! But I suppose when it is bad enough, there isn't much more to fear really is there? I mean, yes she could have been punished for trying, but she's punished daily for nothing anyway so it was clearly worth it. It's no wonder she's inspired so many.
