Madeleine looked off into the night solemnly. Her contact had not been at the meeting point. She was supposed to run over tomorrow night's events. She was supposed to infiltrate the British governement, and report directly to Fouche. Her red-haired boss had been very worried about his own position as of late, even though the Revolution had passed, Napoleon still didn't take a liking to Fouche. She didn't like it.
She looked over the Paris skyline, seeing the Champs-Elysees in the moonlight. Combinied with the light from inside some of the buildings, it was a sight to behold. Dresssed in men's clothing, Madeleine looked like any other man. Physicallyy, she was undeveloped enough to get away with it. Somehting her mother had always hated in her.

Alistair Worth Allistair sat in his chair, listening to his boss speak. He was listening intently on what he was supposed to do tommorow night. "You will be stationed here, Alistair." The green eyed man with the serious face spoke softly. "Our enemy might send someone here. It's not unheard of, I hope we're wrong." He sighed.
Alistair smiled at his boss. "Do not fret, sir, it's not like they'll send a woman with a disarming charm." He laughed.

Frowning, Maddie decided to go anyways. She knew the plan. There was a rower that would bring her to the island. From there, she would find the coach waiting for her, and it would bring her to London. Then, she would find members of Parliament and discreetly find out what they knew-by whatever means necessary.
She hoped that Britain didn't have a spy waiting for her. That would be rather unfortunate. Although not completely suited for combat. she had a good arm, and killer aim when faced with knives. Hopefully, any double agents wouldn't kill her when she got to the foreign country. Her English was good, almost no trace of a French accent. She made her way to the docks, a little outside of Paris.

Alistair WorthWhen Alistairs boss had finished speaking he stood up. "I understand sir. If anyone comes here, we'll know about it." He smiled at his boss. Don't worry old friend, I'll be fine. His thoughts almost escaped his lips, but he stopped at the last second. Alistair nodded and left the room. He looked around the hallway at the white walls and the pictures adorning them. He walked past one of the pictures and made it crooked. He passed several of his colleagues but said nothing to them.

After getting in to the small row boat, she was brought to some nearby port where she was brought in by way of a crate. She then received word that Fouche had an apartment set up for her with both women's and men's clothing to use as she saw fit. During the day, she was to be a woman, a street vendor. At night, she would be a man, a government official.
The top of the crate creaked open above her, as it was pried off by a man. He helped her out, and then led her to her apartment where she would settle for about an hour, and then make her way to Parliament. Her alias was James Albarn. He went to Oxford, newly graduated, he was the intern of one of the officials.
Maddie smiled. She was beginning o think that these Brits were so easy to cheat.

Alistair WorthAs Alistair was walking down the hallway he was stopped suddenly by a hand on his shoulder. He turned around to see his boss standing there. "I forgot to tell you, we have an intern coming in, I would like you to show him around. From what I understand he is young and new, do not scare him away." He boss told him sternly. Alistair laughed and put on his innocent face. "I would never, sir. Where is the intern anyways?" He asked. Alistair's boss told him where to go and walked away. Alistair continued walking, only now he turned a corner and waited for the intern that would be coming.

Her hour was up. Now settled in, or as much as a spy could be, she dressed in britches, and a cotton shirt, and pulled a jacket over it. Slowly, now she began the arduous process of pinning up her masses of hair and pulled a brown wig over them. Satisfied that she looked enough like an English man, she set out for the Parliament building.
Never having been to England before, she was startled at the differences between here and Paris. Yes, there was grime and homeless people, but London, surprisingly was more gray and wet. Spotting several homeless people in the alleys, she shivered as she remembered how it was being one of them. Fouche had caught her trying to pickpocket him, and instead of turning her in, he took her under his wing.
Maddie turned a corner, shaking all thoughts of the past away, and concentrated on her mission. I am to turn into James Albarn. James Albarn is all I need to think of. She thought. She saw the man to be her higher officer. She did not yet know his name, but she had seen a photo. She approached him, and held out her hand. "James Albarn, sir. Are you to be the officer showing me around?" She asked, lowering her voice sufficiently. She would still be a high voiced male, but the accent was the most important thing right now.
((This is turning more into a spy x spy. So let's just say it's that. lol))

Alistair WorthAlistair was startled by a young man who claimed he was the intern. He raised an eyebrow at James. "Yes, I am Alistair. Come with me." He turned around and started to walk, knowing the intern would follow. He showed James his room first. "You'll be staying here." It was a regular sized room with beige walls, a night stand sat beside the bed with a small lamp for light. He took James' things and set them inside. "Come with me, you'll meet our boss." He smiled at James and led him to the boss's office.

Maddie smirked to herself. It was working perfectly. He didn't suspect a thing. They walked into a different room. It was sparse, and blank, just the way she had to be. Overall, it was a medium size, albeit bigger than ones she had stayed in previously. When he mentioned meeting her new "boss", she almost laughed out loud. This was too easy! She was going to his ofice now! Oh, how proud Fouche would be of his protege. She was doing better than expected. She could get into their confidence now. "Thank you, sir." She said with respect, for she was supposed to be conversing with her senior. She was led to the boss's office, and Alistair opened the door for her.

((Haha oh god, just wait until he finds out you're a woman.)) Alistair WorthAlistair opened the door and led young James inside. "Sir, this is the new intern, James Albarn. James, this is Mr. Ashford, our boss." When he said boss he smirked, he still didn't think of him as a superior, they had been friends too long. Mr. Ashford put out his hand to shake it. "Welcome, James."

Maddie smiled, and put on her best impression of a young man from Oxford. On the inside, though, she was cursing these Brits. This man didn't even knock! What sort of respect did he have for his superior? None, that's what kind. Maudits Anglaise She thought. "Nice to meet you, sir." She said, in her deeper voice reserved for men. "I hope to work well under Mr. Worth." She shook his hand, with her tight grip, inwardly smirking. This was almost too easy. So, tonight, I sneak in and find the records of my Frenchmen. This will determine who is really a spy. Maybe they'll have files on the Pretender too... This'll be great! Her smile concealed all her malicious thoughts as she looked to the boss for instructions on what to do next. She wasn't sure what she would be forced to do, but wait until she told Fouche how easily she had infiltrated! He would be horrified!

((I'm still here! gonk )) Alistair Worth Ashford smiled at the young man. "Good, Alistair will steer you on a good path!" He turned and winked at Alistair. Ashford sat down in his chair and pulled some papers towards him. "Alistair, if you would, take James to his room, I've no doubt he would like some rest." Alistair nodded and turned to James. "Well, let's go then." He smiled.
He led James back to his room and opened the door for him. "Well, here you are. We'll start work after you've rested up. I'll be in the next room if you need me." Alistair nodded and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. He headed to the room right beside James' and sat down at a desk and started writing a report.
