Gemma stared around the empty house as she was prone to do, wondering what would have happened if her life had gone any different. Wondering what would have happened if her mother wasn't a drunkard, or her father abusive. The only thing good in her life had been her brother, but Lord knows that he was long dead. It had been a century since she had died. So many things had changed. And yet, she was doomed to spend eternity in this old house, not being able to leave. She had tried.

Everytime she tried to leave, she was knocked back into unconsciousness. It was like she was attached to the house. It. Was. Not. Cool. She hated it. As a human, she had wanted more than anything else to disappear. Now that she finally had disappeared from people's minds, all she wanted to do was die. Truly die. None of this ghost crap. Someday, she hoped things would change, but she didn't think that it would happen any time soon.

She haved a heavy sigh, thinking deeply to herself, and moving aside the bracelets on her wrist, under which lay thin scars from where she had attempted to feel something other than numbness. She remembered the days when everything had been about who her friends were, or what her hair looked like, or even... who broke up with who.

A century ago, her boyfriend had broken up with her. It had devastated her. She stopped sleeping, stopped feeling, almost stopped all bodily functions. She even stopped eating, driving her body to eat itself up, resulting in her skinny figure. She craved the control everything brought her. She needed control to stay sane. It was how she lived... well... not anymore.

Troy stared off into space as he leaned against a desolate tree. It was dying, and sat alone on a hill overlooking the town, his guitar playing seemed to echo the tree's feelings. To anyone looking at the scene it would have felt like a Norman Rockwell Painting with a museum's soft almost sad music playing behind it.

He could have had a lot of things in his life, could of... would of, but he did not. His time on the hill was the only exception to his life. Everyday, he wanted to explore a different part of town, he even had a map of the town and crossed off smaller places on the map but everyday he came to this hundred year old tree and would play underneath it.

Today was going to be different for Troy as he looked down the hill to a far distance in the town off through a forested path. He could barely make out the house but it was there, abandoned by time and the world, an one hundred and fifty year old house. It was supposed to have had bad mojo, or karma, or some demonic crap that occurred there. Of course he did not believe any of that garbage, a house was a house. The people make the bad luck there, it was as simple as that. He had hoped maybe something that was really interesting at that home.

Troy packed up his guitar and carried it on his back and then picked up his violin. It wasn't his best skill but he wanted to grow in it and he hoped that maybe the house would give him some inspiration for actually doing better at playing it in performance. It took him a forty-five minutes, to arrive at the house, he got lost in the woods for fifteen minutes trying to find it. As he examined the house from the outside he couldn't believe how old it really was as he stared into one of windows trying to see through the dust.

Gemma looked out into the still forest with mild interest, looking at all the free animals. Once again, she sighed, wishing to be free when she saw a young, blond boy come up the long overgrown path. Her eyes widened in surprise, shock, and fear. She had been left here for a century! Why did someone have to disturb her quiet now? She was doing so well alone, and now someone had to come and ruin it! She didn't care who this boy was, but she was going to get him to leave.

In her small breakdown, she pounded her fist on the old, dusty glass.
"Go away!" She cried, quite frightened that something was going to happen to her. As she pounded the glass, small clouds of dust rose into the air. Her small, bony figure finally slid down the wall, in a surrender.
Let him come she thought. I don't care anymore...

She had been defeated long ago, in the mere first months of her death. She didn't even remember how it happened, she just knew that she died. And yet, something in this house kept her here long after people forgot about her, and this house. it was odd. Everyone she had once loved was dead. She couldn't be with them, couldn't hold them, couldn't cry in their arms because they were probably in heaven, while she was stuck here for the rest of eternity.

Troy attempted as best he could to look through the window when all of a sudden the window looked like it was disturbed and then the awful yell of 'Go away!' made him fall backwards. Seeing the impression on the window he could not believe what he had saw, something or someone was inside that house, it was unbelievable to him that it could have happened but he knew it was true.

Part of him wanted to enter but now part of him cringed a bit and wondered if he should enter the house. He laid there on the grass, his guitar and violin fell to his side from the leap of fright. His elbows supported his weight as he stared at the house. Slowly he picked up his things and walked towards it, for now he was going to stay outside. Opening his guitar case he sat down on the porch steps facing part of the house, not trusting if something would attack him.

After a minute of tuning up, he started to play Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata on his guitar, in its traditional tempo. He had learned it on the piano but he felt inspired to quickly transpose it to the guitar. He wondered if perhaps the figure would try to get him to leave again or perhaps be somewhat tamed by the guitar.

Sliding down into a half-fetal position, Gemma heard a song she hadn't heard in years. It was Beethoven's Sonata No. 14. The Moonlight. Something was different about it though... Was it being played on a... guitar? She had never heard it played like that, and although she preferred the more angry third movement to his Sonata she still liked the first fine. It was odd hearing it on the guitar, but she soon got used to it. The song pacified her in a way that nothing else could have. Music never failed to calm her down. It was her way of speaking out and showing her feelings to another person without actually losing control or seeming weak. And from what she could tell about this person... he was lonely. She didn't know how or why, but she could tell that he was lonely.

Troy loved Beethoven's music, it spoke to him deeply as he loved trying master the gifted composer's works. He always loved the first movement to his Sonata. As he kept progressing through it twice for a total of ten minutes he sighed softly and stared at the guitar for a moment. Slowly he started to lightly play through the second movement rather casually before he stopped at the start of the third movement.

"I gotta get this right.... I can't mess it up." He spoke outloud to himself not realizing the ghost could hear him even if she did. The boy started to play the angrier third movement to the Sonata on his guitar. At first he seemed okay, though for the guitar he had to heavily compenstate for its different tones by rapidly shifting his hands to adjust the cords. For the first half of the song he seemed to struggle a bit, relaxing during the middle as he kept playing, he didn't give up despite his struggle. A few minutes into the song, he growled and grabbed his left hand. <********.... I still can't get it... Juliard won't accept this failure." He groaned as he started again at the guitar trying again as best he could.

Gemma smiled as the boy tried to play the third movement. Only... it couldn't be done. The original piano part moved too fast for a guitarist to ever keep up. She decided to up the ante and despite her dour mood, show the boy how classical was really done.

She took her human and tangible form and found her old violin case, covered in dust. She hurriedly tuned it, and then began to play. Tchaikovsky's Serenade Melancholique. She hadn't played this piece in years, and somehow managed to remember almost all of it. Her culminative feelings of the past century welled up in her playing, and eventually, she couldn't go on. She collapsed into a pile of tears and began cry. She couldn't keep going on like this...

((OOC: First of all, EMO. Second of all, you are going down this road with an orchestra nerd and a classical music freak. (Have you seen my profile?) Are you ready? BTW, I don't think the second or third movement are possible on the guitar... lol.))

Troy looked at his hand as he gave up for a moment and sighed softly from his actions. He couldn't keep up the guitar, he had seen it once before done live and it was incredible, he knew he had to master it, the glorious sounds of the guitar playing Beethoven's musical gifts.

He was about to play when he froze listening to the sounds inside the house. The haunted home, played Tchaikovsky's Serenade Melancholique. It was beautiful it was sweet as he listened to the sounds he loved the sound it made. Whoever was in there was real. Knocking on the door and leaned against it as he tried to listen into it, hearing something that sounded like a crying person. "Hello.... is someone in there? Hello are you okay?" He yelled through the door before leaning against it.

OOC: Like I said I love a challenge, and I really wanted to do a music guy. I'm a theater person so its not too bad of a leap haha. Oh yes I am ready for it. =) Oh and for the second and third, I know its not really possible on the guitar but I wanted him to have a challenge, a real challenge and attempt to do something that's difficult. Oh and by the way third movement guitar =)

Gemma heard the guitar stop, and the boy's voice rang from the door.
"Hello? Is someone in there? Are you okay?" His words seemed to pierce right through her. He asked her the very question she hated the most. While not a mean person, she hated it when others saw her cry. Or heard her. Or witnessed her weak moments in general.
"Just go away." She managed to force out between cries. "You're not wanted here. I was fine before you came and ruined everything..." She put a small hand through her hair before putting her head up against her knees.

((OOC: Okay... That... is awesome... holy crap... *ahem* Okay. As long as you're up for it. As another side note, I am in love with Jascha Heifetz. I'm going to bed though. Aw... crap. I have chamber orchestra tomorrow morning... I just realized that... But yeah... I'm going to bed. Night.))

Troy listened to yelling through the door as he grabbed the handle and sighed softly. "Why should I, you gonna stop me?" He challenged the phantom as he stared at the door, wondering why the heck he was going to challenge a person or a ghost alone with his music. "You played a song after me, you wanted me to hear you...." He told her wanting to know what the heck was going on in this house that he was looking around the area thinking if there was something else going on.

OOC: Hahah yes heh, I'm up for it bring it on. Awww well have fun then, goodnight.)

Gemma listened to the boy's reasons. While valid, they didn't account for the fact that nothing she did made sense aanymore.
"I don't care!" She yelled. "Go away! Nothing I do makes sense! Happy?" She pulled her hand through her hair, stopping when her hand caught on a small knot. She rubbed her other hand over her face, trying to regain some semblance of composure ineffectively.

Troy stared at the door and kicked it a bit in annoyance. He was about to scream when suddenly his entire body stopped moving, for a moment it felt like he had disappeared from his location as he looked about the porch. "You don't want to be alone... That's why you let me know you were here... no one comes here, they think its haunted.... I guess you've been here living alone so long, you forgot what it was like to be with a person." He said still whole heartly thinking that a real woman was behind that door, not a ghostly figure of a woman.

Gemma paused. Was it really like that? Had she really forgotten what people were like, or was it just that people had changed?
"Is it that people are scared of their stories, or do they actually think this place is haunted? People are always so stupid... relying only on their stories, never providing any proof." She grumbled. She wanted to change the subject. She didn't like the subject being on her. How about him?
"It's not like you're not lonely. You can't deny that." She pointed out.

((Sorry. Just a bit of writer's block.))

Troy stared at the door and put his hand on the doorknob. He wanted to enter and see the girl behind the music, with the broken heart that did not want to return to people. "They are afraid after the stories.... something had happened here for so many years.. there was the events over a hundred and fifty years ago, than a disappearance in these woods about a hundred years ago... people just assumed it was curse on this place. Once they take a life of their own its really hard to change...." He told her softly and looked at the door before letting go of the handle.

"Alright well if we are going to talk about me then do you mind if I play while we talk. I came out here to practice with some inspiration." He told her as he grabbed his violin out of the case and sat down. Slowly he started to play Pachelbel's Canon while he spoke to her. "You are right, I am lonely... and.... I won't deny that." He said after a minute of playing.

OOC: I've been there don't worry about it, just never give a three word reply and I'll be happy.
