Okay, they Export their cars to other countries. They have almost no space to even use the cars they make, and have to buy completely seperate parking spaces off the road to make it legal for them to drive, and the space costs over $50,000 for them to keep it per year. They are a Communist country, but for some reason I dont like their particular views on society. Im definately okay with Russia's Communism, America's Capitalism/Imperialism I live in the United States as well as Germany's ex-Fascism. But Japan? This country for some reason sticks out (I my oppinion) to be possibly the lamest, saddest excuse for a communist country. Think about this. They are small, and population is exremely high. Their building are small compared to those of the us in the United States, who could definately overrun their defences if it came to war with them. The only advantage I'd say they have to the United States is being far more technologically advanced then the United States. In a case of war between the United States and Japan, who do you think would win the war? And yes I know the possibility of war between Japan and the U.S. is so low it probably will never happen but Im just curious as to what you think.

Considering Japan has an incredibly small (yet technologically advanced) defense force, the answer should be obvious.
EDIT: Japan was also a fascist nation during WWII.永远。。。(Yǒng yuǎn...)

RUSSIAN SUPERSOLDIER Okay, they Export their cars to other countries. In a case of war between the United States and Japan, who do you think would win the war? And yes I know the possibility of war between Japan and the U.S. is so low it probably will never happen but Im just curious as to what you think.Considering the only way we won the war was by nuking their defenseless towns, towns where there was just about only women and children, mind you, of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and then imposed an imperial rule over them to present date where they can't even produce their own military, they would lose before they even thought of starting a war. Furthermore, their society is run much more like a capitalism, based on the 2 years I spent serving the Marines in Japan. The closest thing to communism I remember was the government raising the amount of money you had to spend in taxi rides per 100 km, which was already ******** high at 500 yen for 400 km, then they rose it to 1,000 yen for the same distance. Japan was never a communism, they were more like a fascist imperialism, more on the imperial side, but the shogunate RULED all of Japan, so the military was in direct control of the government... kinda like fascism. Imperialist because the moment the Emperor/shogunate took control he began conquering China and other asian nations/countries. Japan was quite the force to be reckoned with at this time, their navy was equivalent to American's, and their ground forces tenacity would destroy even the firmest and most patriotic and well trained American troops. They were throwing themselves under tank tracks to slow down and destroy tanks advances, for ******** sake. These people were determined, which is the strongest point of a warrior. I regret to say they were determined because the Emperor/Shogunate of Japan would kill their whole family if they didn't dedicate themselves to the war, but has the world seen such honourable and sacrificing soldiers? I give mad props to Japan's men, though they may be mostly cute and femme faggy stereotypes now a days, they were the most brutal soldiers WW2 had seen. As for the cars, the cars in Japan can be easily lifted by two grown American men, I mean, if you and I were to tour Japan and want to tip cars over... it was a funny and easy thing to do (not to incriminate myself). The cars were miniscule, ******** tiny, and the roads were about 3-4 feet narrower than American ones, most of them with no lines or path indication whatsoever. They seemed like walkways more than roads but cars just took turns driving up and down them. The traffic in these side streets and residential areas was tiny if existant at all. Most everyone lived in make shift apartments or huts, really tiny. Japan is a very socialist like capitalism. Their healthcare and alot of their employment means are more dictated by the state for the needs of Japan, but their system is still capitalism, even if it may look in certain aspects like a communism. Far from it. Stores compete, there is imperialism, such as Goodwill and Toys R' Us, McDonalds and KFC (which Japanese people commonly order a chicken on Thanksgiving and Christmas from KFC). So yes, they're very much in the same boat we're in. They've got alot more mom and pop stores than we ever could anymore, their urbanization is buildings stacked against building, placed ontop of other buildings. Not uncommon for people to live in an apartment above a pizza store/curry shop.

This would be a dangerous situation if N Korea got involved in this war because N Korea is the supreme military power in the area.

If we were to fight a legitimate war with Japan in WW2, I'd say we'd have lost. Or if we had won, the media would've been so mortified by the results of our winning that the American government would have taken a huge fall from public acceptance and may have been overthrown by rebellious factions then. This may have been a significant reason why America resorted to nuking Japan, though it was way worse than having lost the war, all anybody could say was "...oh, my god... wtf" without actually rebelling, coupled with the thought of "to save American's lives" ... god. Capitalism makes me sick, sometimes.
Edit: North Korea are the Modern Japan's WW2 troops. Their tenacious and loyal. We'd have a hard fight, America would probably resort to nukes again...

This is what happened next : Harry Truman The commies want a peice of Japan, ******** No! We gotta drop nukes, and keep dropping so they will surrender to just us and Stalin wont get s**t from East Asia's most industrialised nation. N Korea would be impossible to defeat in the air because they have Russian SAM systems and Mig-29s. On the ground maybe, unless they bought the T-90s already.

What do you base their communism on? Health reform and some select state decided things? They are capitalism. A Parliamentary democracy with monarchy. They're basically no different than Britain except they haven't a military of their own.

I don't believe that to be the sole reason, though it was probably the most substantial one. If we had competitors in dominating capital, our control of the market would be out of our hands, and we'd be a 2nd-3rd world country again.

I think by 1945 America wasnt that scared of competing with the old power houses, Britain was (is) a shadow of its former self, Germany just got pwned, most of Europe isnt interested in imperialism rather mere recovery from the ravages of the Nazis. The Soviet Union on the other hand.......

The Soviet Union on the other hand....... Indeed, the red scare was some retarded 40's-60's meme where the American public was brainwashed into thinking somehow they were going to be tormented, raped, eaten, destroyed whatever negative ludicrous thought you could imagine insert here, simply due to the existence of communists. It has put a huge hamper on communists acceptance, based on unbridled and stubborn fear of it simply being "against the order of things"... To Russian Soldier: Base don my time in Japan, and my playing video games since I was a wee lad, I'd say Nintendo and Sony are competing video game/entertainment industries dominating and imperialising the world. And based on this excerpt from Japan's wiki page: "Japan ranks 12th of 178 countries in the Ease of Doing Business Index 2008 and it has one of the smallest governments in the developed world. Japanese variant of capitalism has many distinct features. Keiretsu enterprises are influential. Lifetime employment and seniority-based career advancement are relatively common in Japanese work environment.[76][77] Japanese companies are known for management methods such as "The Toyota Way". Shareholder activism is rare.[78] Recently, Japan has moved away from some of these norms.[79][80] In the Index of Economic Freedom, Japan is the 5th most laissez-faire of 30 Asian countries.[81]" Variant of Capitalism. They have free market, people compete, workers are hired and exploited while the few get richer. It's capitalism. I know it may appear differently because japan's workers are some of the best paid per hour employees in the world, which is awesome, meaning they are not suffering that badly, but here in America, we are. And based on japan's continuingly dwindling profit margin, they're going to be forced to cute back on the wages and benefits of their employees so the burgeoisie of japan can continue to live with the same imperial rule over society.

Even if it does, the end result is the same. Those that take the cuts for the workers become petty burgeoisie, those who do not establish a firmer, tight, more rich burgeoisie that no one else can ever reach, and the proleteriat still continues to get poor despite this. The petty burgeoisie continues to cut their wages, and boom, they're proleteriat. If they do not cut their wages, they'll be bought out by the major burgeoisie anyhow. The middle class always dies, expand or die, thats the ethos of capitalism. No different in Japan or America. EDIT: If the entirety of society were to do that over time, I'd think socialism would be the automatic result. Kind of a cool way to bring it about. Lower wages for the wealthy and raise them for the poor... slowly, there is a middle class larger than any proleteriat/burgeoisie in the world, and it absorbs the other two. That would be true socialism, I believe.
