Maybe we could have a mini test season? Maybe have 10 drivers, 5 races, use a formula and use Gaia's dice roll system to determine the results. The car number equals the strength of the team, Car #10 would be like Jimmie Johnson, while car #1 would be more like Paul Menard. The bonus is how well the driver does at that track. Add a random number to the mix to represent luck.
e.g.
Car #10 gets a 3 point bonus at track 1
Car #2 gets a 4 point bonus at track 1
Car #6 gets a 8 point bonus at track 1
etc.
You roll a 100 sided dice when you pick, then add the car number, the track bonus and the dice result together. Highest number wins, second highest number is second.
I know it's kinda complicated, but I can't think of another way to simulate races. I'm open to suggestions though...
I have absolutely no clue how any of that works.. but if you can do that, more power to ya.
I just had an idea on how to fix the dual picking problem.... Why not for every "legal" pick.... you must roll the gaia dice.... that way lets say at 11am one day both me and Boltz pick Kyle Busch... but when I rolled I got a 7 and when he rolled a 11..therefore Boltz would get the pick of Kyle..while I will have to pick another driver...
Hmmm...two questions:
How would you resolve a tie?
Would this just be for the first minute pick?
This seems way more confusing.. even if two people made the same pick for the same race, whoever made the pick would come up first, ohhhh WAIT I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING
KINDA LIKE THE UNLUCKY DOG RULE..
The highest finishers of the race pick last..
Ex.
first place finisher picks last for the next race..
and last place finisher picks first??
but this only goes for the first day of picking. after that tuesday its fair game for anyone.

That's really complicated. I have no problem dueling to pick first, but if we wanna change something, what if we made it so you roll a dice if you're gonna duel for a driver, and if two people pick the same driver in the same minute, whoever has the highest dice roll gets the driver.

Ugh! I forgot how annoying this was. Instead of dragging it out page after page in one of these threads until we all get confused and disgusted. Why don't we simplify this and come up with a few potential rules and vote on them? Maybe have a separate thread for each potential rule? Also, Dark, did you mean debacle? And Bolt, how about rolling the dice? xd

I dont want to be rolling no dice. plus it doesnt matter if two people pick the same driver in the same minute, whoever picked the driver first will have there post showed first on page. I like the idea of the tuesday deal being whoever finished last gets the first pick.. and then everything is fair game once midnight hits.. giving the last place finisher 3 hrs on the players or even just 15 minutes, whatever everyone is comfortable with.
