Okay, like I have said, my brothers all know, all three of them. Well, yesterday, right before we got on this other freeway, my brother is like, "Steph, so how do you know you're bi?" I look straight ahead and shrug. I got so embarrassed, he's like, "You're just attracted to women?" I nod. He's like, "Okay. That works." He accepts me. But it gets so embarrassing that I can't answer. I'm also very shy around him, because when we were younger, he would be like, "stop annoying me." So I became shy.
Have you ever had a moment where you're brother or sister would question you on your sexuality?

Its okay and perfectly natural to feel shy about something that is OUTLAWED in multiple countries. I get a bit nervous sometimes mainly because I don't know how people will react. Don't worry. You're not alone!

Shaky Truths Untold Its okay and perfectly natural to feel shy about something that is OUTLAWED in multiple countries. I get a bit nervous sometimes mainly because I don't know how people will react. Don't worry. You're not alone! I don't think it's outlawed in Arizona. My brother already knew I was bi for about 6 months. But it's just, with him, and everyone of my siss and bros, it's hard, because I'm the only bi person in the family.

Shouldn't be outlawed in the usa at all, just the marriage of same sex couples is the issue of legality.

I wasn't implying that it was illegal in the USA... Just merely mentioning that it was in some countries. Like Trinidad. I know its got to be hard. Luckily for me, I have a cousin who is an all out lesbian. That is going to make it easier for me when I finally do tell my parents. It will probably still be very awkward though.

I don't get embarrassed by it really, but I think it's awkward for me to talk about it with my family. With anyone else it's fine, but not family. I try to avoid talking about it.

I'm the same way ... all of my friends know ( or at least my real friends ) and I wasn't really shy when I told them but my parents ... if I have to tell them I would just be starring at the ground and blushing xD

i've been out long enough to be over it. like, i prefer NOT having the entire world know, "hey, see that girl? she's GAY!" but if they ask or bring it up, i usually joke around about it.
i can relate to some extent, though, cuz i'm still too scared to tell my brother about it. he loves me, i love him, we're insanely close siblings, but i just can't let myself say it. i'm sure he'll love me, but i don't wanna risk it.
...wow, that was long. haha, back to the topic sweatdrop

If someone brings it up, I'll usually end it fast with a really lame gay joke. It's not a subject worth talking about really... haha

My cousins know i'm Bi. I get so embarrassed when they try to talk to me about my sexuality. Sometimes i ignore them. But no one has ever asked me, "Are you gay?" And thank god for that... sweatdrop
