I know the title seems out of place, but have you ever seen a movie about homosexuality that honestly impacted your life in some way, changed your views about how others saw you, or gave you more courage to accept who you are, or just know a good show or movie to watch...

I have heard of a lot of shows, but the only one I've seen every episode of, because it was on On Demand and I felt like watching it, was South of Nowhere. The only reason why I ever started watching it was because my ex-girlfriend mentioned it when she was making me watch an episode of Degrassi and I found it on On Demand and watched it. Anyways, it's just one of those teen shows. Aha.

I also watched the movie Prayers For Bobby, which made me cry, and Were The World Mine, which was a really strange movie, but good. I love Frankie [Frankie's a girl] in that movie. I love what she says towards the beginning... "I'm 'biflexible'... I'm straight... but sh** happens" Lol. You'd have to see it.

I watched all 3 seasons of South of Nowhere. ******** loved that show.

Queer as Folk is my other fan gay t.v. show.

I watch a lot of gay movies though.
One I want to see right now is The Vintner's Luck, which is based off a book.
Has gay tendencies, but isn't anything like the book.

Um.. as for movies I could go on a list, but I'll name some you might be able to find a bit easier.

Last Friends had a main character that was a lesbian and in love with her best friend. Probably the saddest drama (one tof them anyways) that I've seen and loved.

Just to let you know, many of them that I ever tend to mention are asian and mostly gay dramas.

and try Skins..in first two seasons there's a gay character and in the third there's a lesbian couple...really awesome i have a mild obsession XD

that's what i can remember right now but try Wolfe pretty much everything is on here.

Water Lilies is a good movie as well.

my ex really wanted me to watch that movie for some reason. haha

back to the topic, though, i seem to find many more gay books than gay movies/television shows.

I love the show Degrassi, because it deals with many issues high school students face.

I also really enjoyed the movie Milk. It was a very deep and moving experience to watch that movie.

one movie that has impacted my life and probably freaked me out quite a bit if Martyrs. It's not a gay movie but... it was really sad and really messed up.
Not for the faint of heart either. I was balling my eyes out when the main girl is getting beaten. Like seriously, last half of the movie I couldn't even handle it and just sat in the chair crying and trying to not hear the screaming....
yeah.

Anyways...

As for a good gay movie that I think many can relate to:
Permanent.Residence

The one guy through out the whole movie keeps saying he's straight to the guy he has sex with.. and yeah, it was good.
