Lunch in a Box is a great resource of incorporating bento into your everyday life. An awesome example of the fact that not all bentos have to be elaborate or filled with strictly Japanese foods. Bento is more about a philosophy of satisfying and nutritious food that also happens to be highly portable.

Lots of recipes, how-to guides (apple rabbits, octodogs, etc.), and product reviews.

Biggie gets a 4/5 from me just because the postings are a bit erratic (especially over the past few months) so once you've read through the backlogs, there's not much else to do except sit and wait. (Or read through everything again like I'm doing. ninja )

I don't know how many of you check out youTube, but there's a station that runs japanese cooking tips: Cooking With Dog.

One of their episodes was for making a 'regular' bento. You can watch it Here
Nothing fancy, but highly informative for the basics of onigiri, karaage, and those rabbit apples. Also a good example of just how fast it can be to make a morning bento for and experienced mom/bento chef.

Other good episodes are the Ichigo Daifuku, Nikuman, Omurisu....ahh, who am I kidding, its all great if you're into japanese style food. Knowing how to make it means being able to pack it in a lunch, too (pork katsu bento, anyone?)

I checked out Cooking Cute Recipes and that site isn't bad at all ^-^

Just added Bento Anarchy and a few other previously mentioned blogs to the first post. The owner of this blog has been making an effort to host panel on bento at various conventions and I think that's great 4laugh Has anyone besides me been to them?

Chef Taro - I found a flier for this site among my papers while I was clearing out some boxes... its cute 3nodding Focused on japanese cooking and its in a comic-style... gotta check it out more to see if its worthy of being added to the first post ;D
