Hey!
Just got back form being out of the loop for, well, about 8 months I think, without reading comics (completely broke!)
So if anyone has any spare time I'd appreciate an update on where Captain Marvel and Rick are right now and what they've been doing.
I saw a couple of New Thunderbolts covers, Genis being absent from most of them and that ice dude seemingly having his powers on some cover fighting the Avengers... Last comic I read Genis got his kicked by Atlas, wich is really weird...

Isn't the Sentry supposed to be all powerful? At least that's what people were saying... And was it a special Thunderbolts vs. Avengers or a regular Neew Thunderbolts issue?

I'm not sure, but I think it was a regular T-Bolts issue. FabNic wrote it anyway and yeah, Sentry is supposed to be wicked powerful but it would seem that Genis isn't as powered down as originally thought. Or something.

He's in T-bolts. He's not called Captain Marvel anymore, he's now calling himself Photon, which makes sense seeing as how he always kept complaining that no matter what he did he could never live up to his father's name.
He's not bonded to Rick anymore either. I'm pretty sure they ended their connection in #25 but I haven't read it so not sure how it happened exactly.
Genis getting kicked his butt kicked by Atlas was in T-bolts #1. I'm really behind on the title (money problems also crying ) but according to Gamma, the explanation was he was being controlled by the Purple Man, which was why he got beaten so easy
The Avengers v T-bolts fights were in New Thunderbolts #13 and 14

AH ok thanks for the info Etta and Harley, but wasn't photon the name of that female captain Marvel who gave up the name so that Genis could have it? Kinda sucks he abandons it...
A near omnipotent cosmic being controlled by a hormone manipulator?

She's calling herself Pulsar now, after she let Genis keep the Photon name. He said he forgot she was using that codename when he chose it as a replacement for Captain marvel. She's also appearing as part of Ellis' Nextwave team next year where I think she'll just go back to being called Monica Rambeua, without any codenames Quote: A near omnipotent cosmic being controlled by a hormone manipulator? Haven't read it but Gamma seems satisfied with the explanation and he knows more than me, so if it's no big deal to him, I'll just accept it 3nodding And Genis also got his cosmic awareness knocked out pretty easily by Venus who was playing with his emotions in Avengers Forever so I guess it's possible that Purple Man could possibly influence him by doing something similar

Ok thanks for the update.
And now does he still have a "you are all insects compared to me" personality that he had in his insane Genis phase and seemed to have kept for the last issues of his ongoing or did he get back to his Avengers Forever and early series personality?
And anyone know if Rick Jones ever resurfaced after that weird last issue of Captain Marvel?

Fact:
Genis-Vell was in House of M, a delegate of the Kree Empire, who's "purpose" in the book was to help establish peace in diplomatic talks with Earth. However, ultimately he ended up being a "target" for Rogue to absorb a bit of his power to do rediculous damage to Magnus' soldiers, and Pietro.

House of M TPB, feel like I missed something in the Marvel Universe. You got a pick of House of M Genis?

Rick Jones You got a pick of House of M Genis? No.
However, in running a search for pictures, I came across more information.Marvel.com In NEW THUNDERBOLTS, only Private Genis-Vell, a member of the Titan/Kree Exploratory Council, can see that something is desperately wrong with reality. Why does he keep having visions of people who wanted to hurt him? Is the only way to keep his mind from coming apart require him to destroy an entire world? This may differ slightly from his appearance in the House of M main title, but is unconfirmed since his appearance was little more than a cameo.

I just found a pic but forgot my photobucket account password so it'll take a while before I can post it.
Anyone know what happened to Rick at all?

Rick Jones Ok thanks for the update. He's cured of the insanity. I think it also happened in #25 also I wouldn't say it's exactly similar to the way he was previously. He seems more confident in his abilities now than previously when he'd need Rick around when making any decisions. I'm pretty sure Rick's in character limbo. But then I've also avoided House of M, where he possibly could've shown up. Personally I don't have a problem with him not being around. I've always found him an annoying character, unless PAD is the one writing him (sorry sweatdrop )
