Clannad is one of the more enjoyable anime series I've ever seen with a healthy balance between Comedy and Drama. I had seen this anime name pop up several times across gaia before I took the time to actually look into it. Once I has seen the first episode I was hooked. I have not had the time to make a short synopsis for this anime yet so if any of you make one be sure to send it to me and I'll put it up for others to see. I'm interested in what others have to say about this anime.

I'm partway through the first episode, and have to say i'm hooked. I kinda wish they didn't have the clearly unhuman feats, but i can live with it.
The use of color and contrast is everything i'd come to expect from the stills

So, just finished episode Four, and i have to say. I really am disappointed that they have so many un-natural aspects. that said, i am still and will continue to enjoy this anime.
EDIT: by then end of episode 7, i have cried once
and they keep the emotional level REALLY down. ||

Last post of the night, promise.
I just finished Episode 9, and have a small warning. This anime WILL magnify any/all emotions your feeling. i've been crying for an hour and a half (episodes 7-9). It takes a REALLY good story to do that. (i laughed at bambi's mother)
EDIT: just finished the first half of season one. I'm really annoyed at their use of one character, shuffling her off into a comic relief slot. that, and the "big cliffhanger" is SO cliche. Still a very engaging story
EDIT^2: my complaint about the cliche is even stronger at this point

Needless Fury Last post of the night, promise. I just finished Episode 9, and have a small warning. This anime WILL magnify any/all emotions your feeling. i've been crying for an hour and a half (episodes 7-9). It takes a REALLY good story to do that. I told you you'd like it! this is what the 2nd or 3rd anime I've told you to watch and you liked? BTW if your already crying by episode 7 your going to need to go bye some tissue boxes because it only gets more emotional as the series continues. Once you hit ~After Story~ you will cry like a little girl.

Eh, no tissues, i just use a stuffed animal (yes, i'm a guy. don't judge me!)
I can tell i'll like it. The Kotomi story kinda bothered me, as did the fu-chan plot. Despite that, i still enjoy it.
Incidently, kotomi's story i found funny, not tear jerking. Fu-chan was the one i cried at

It was at 2am, right after our SoaSE game finished. and gah, i'm so happy they didn't spend a few episodes actually showing the play. It's amazing. a little over an hour left, then i'm done with the seried

Holy cow. i won't say anything plot realted, but episode 22 is another tear jerker. And the use of lighting and color at the end is simply AMAZING
The OVA is WEIRD. Ep. 23, i understood well. not 24. that last episode was just STRANGE. and seeming non-canon, at that

I have to admit, I was NOT a fan of the After-Story until part 4. Up until that point it seemed kinda like a sitcom. But Episode 4 had the drama i've come to know and love this show for.
I'd have got farther by now, but i made a thread in the Wanted forum and spent nearly 3m in 10 minutes, and am in a position to make 3.5 biggrin biggrin
