This is going to be a place where we can create stories about our fishy selfs. We can write anything like where we came from, how we became or became interested in merpeople, or anything that has to do with yuor merpoepley selfs.
You can also write little folktales/stories about merpeople you have made or heard of. If you have found them off the internet or sotry of something like that then write the website address or book and author.

About 30 years ago, a ship crashed on a goverment research island deep in the Atlantic Ocean. One of the surviving passengers was Rebecca Aquarius. She was taken to the labs deep in the research center used for genetic enhancement. Along with 5 other female passangers, she was enjected with a syrum to make her pregnant with a baby. The baby was to be able to feed of blood only and to survive deep in the ocean. After 5 years of failure their dream came true. Rebecca gave birth to a mermaid that could survive off the blood off fish alone. A day after birth she was injected with nanobodies to form a barcode on her back. The barcode was used as a tracking device in case she escaped but it was unneccasary. Sushi was the baby, and she was born into training. She knew nothing of freedom or of love or of any care. She only know cruelty and pain. One day on a training mission, Sushi deicided to swim farther then the other mermaid children. She was attacked by sharks, wounding her. That is what gave her her name. The research lab deicided to feed her to the sharks to see how long she could last since they thought she would never recover. That night, one of the nurses gave her a syrum to make her wounds feel 20% faster. The nurse then took the child to secret cave where others had escaped to. The child was only of 7 and asked about her mother. The goverment had agents tell the children that their mothers where away on a trip when actually they had been drowned after they gave birth. Few females were keep and Sushi's mother didnt make the cut. Sushi swam away from the island and was found on a beach passed out 3 days later. She swore to herself to avenge her mother and destroy the labs that made her. She is being hunted by the goverment everywhere she goes, but she'll fight until she will finally get her freedom.

I think this one was mabye 47th coolest one. I love merpeople. They are, like, my main goal in life. When i grow up i am gonna work on experiments to actually make mermaids no longer a myth. I wont drown their parents though. My main research is gonna have to do with Mermaid syndrome, which is when a baby's legs are still stuck together when they are born. Anyway, im happy you enjoyed the story. Write your own and post it here!

I think this one was mabye 47th coolest one. I love merpeople. They are, like, my main goal in life. When i grow up i am gonna work on experiments to actually make mermaids no longer a myth. I wont drown their parents though. My main research is gonna have to do with Mermaid syndrome, which is when a baby's legs are still stuck together when they are born. Anyway, im happy you enjoyed the story. Write your own and post it here! there are spells which can make u a merperson...

"Mom!" I shouted. I opened the door and scanned the room. I handed her the photos I had taken earlier this morning. "Honey?" My mom looked at me. "What is this?" she asked. "It's where I was this morning" I said. "What about it, honey?" My mom asked. "I... I saw a man come up from under the water, and... and he saw me. Then he went under, and then I saw what looked like a fish's tail fin smack down on the surface..." She looked at me like I was crazy. "It's just like grandma. Shewas sitting on the rocks near the river and she saw the same thing..." My mom had that look on her face that made me feel like an alien. "Honey, did you hit your head?" she asked. "MOM! I know what I saw. Look at the photos!" She looked at the 7 photos carefully. her eyebrow reaised at the 5th one where you could see what looked like the end of a fishtail. "Honey. Your grandma was right" I nodded heavily. "Well, tomorrow I'm going looking for a merman!" i exclaimed. "Honey, mythical crea-" I broke her off. "I know! Mythical creatures can be dangerous depending on what they are" I finished.
The next day I got up at 6:00 am. Got my swimming gear, and headed down to the river. I undressed and dived in with my swimsuit on. I went to the area where I had sighted the merman.... Then, I saw a man and a woman... or so I thought. They were sat on a rock, embraced. Then, just as he leaned in to kiss her, I saw a turquoise scale pattern on his waste. I quietly went under the surface. I swam. Then I broke the surface. They didn't hear me. Then I made a noise, deliberately. They turned around in shock. "AH! I knew she'd come" the merman said. He looked at me with a strange smile. I smiled back. The mermaid dived into the water and swam circles around me. She smiled when I looked at her. I smiled back. "I am Azareas" he said. "I'm Resollina" she exclaimed. I glared at them. This was so magnificent. "Come with us" Azareas said. He handed me a bubble which floated in his hand. "I'll put this all around your head, so it will cover it. You'll be able to breathe underwater." I nodded. They went under, and I followed. I swam for a while and we got to a cave. Azareas pointed, and i swam in. There was an inside cove. I broke the surface where the pool was. I looked up and i saw a crystal. "That is the crystal which transforms humans into merpeople" he explained. My eyes widened with shock. "I know you want to be like us, Elana." Somehow he knew this. I nodded subconsciously. "Grab it" he ordered. I grabbed it. "Now you just have to hold it to your heart and close your eyes. Think of something or someone which makes you calm." I did. Then, I felt my legs stick together. I felt all tingly. "Open your eyes." I did. I looked down, and I saw a silver fishtail in place of my legs. I smiled. "Thank you" I said to him. He nodded. I smiled. Was I dreaming? 'Course not! This felt too real!

this is my story
the day everything changed, was july 7 1997... that day started out the same as every other day , but today we were moving! we were moving from Texas to California!
i was so excited! because i knew that we were moving to house near the ocean! and i thought i will go swimming every day! so the day started like this... "RING RING RING" went my alarm clock... ugh i thought... " Im so tired from watching that movie and staying up all night" .... "SLAM!" went the down stairs door... i could tell my dad wasn't happy about something... "like always" i said sarcastically to myself... i giggle.. then i remembered we were moving today! i jumped out of bed and got dressed and nearly fell down the stairs! i was so excited! i thought a new house, new friends, new fun! my mom was in the kitchen packing and my dad was outside arguing with the movers... and i quickly ran to the backyard and played around on the ground with my dog... we played for what seemed for ever and then i heard my mom calling "brody! time to go" i grabbed the leash for my dog , hooked it on to his collar and ran to the car... on the way to the house i fell asleep a few times... after all it was a 13hour drive... when we finally arrived the first thing i did was go through my boxes to find my swim suit and i finally found and i ran into the house, up the stairs and in to the bathroom to put on my swim suit! when i cam out i grabbed my goggles and said to my mom "im going swimming if you need me ill be out near the beach! please don't need me." and before my mom could even answer , i was out the back door running full speed towards the ocean! i didn't care if it was really cold or really hot i just jumped in! i was swimming for a while having a great time and i went under water to see what was there and i saw some thing move! it looked like a fish because of the fish looking tail. and i thought "wow , i wonder what kind of fish that is!" so i swam a little closer and then it was gone and i thought "oh well". then i started swimming back to the shallow waters and then suddenly i felt something grab my leg and before i could turn around to see what it was, i was under water and everything went black... when i woke up i was in some kind of tunnel... and i was strapped to the floor by seaweed... and i thought "im going to drown because i can't breath under water... then right in front of my face another person emerged at least i thought it was a person until i saw it had a scaly fish tail! and my eyes widened... the first thing that popped into my head was "mermaid! they are real! but what do they want with me!".i started to feel like i was about to run out of air. and then the mermaid put its slimy hand on to my forehead and then a light began to shine out of her hand... and then i felt something growing out of the side out my neck! It hurt so bad that i almost passed out! and then the pain just suddenly stopped and then i felt my legs begin to get all sticky and then they were being pulled together and then my legs were gone! only a fish tail was left! i quickly thought to myself "im dreaming... this is just a dream... wake up brody! wake up!!!" and then all of a sudden i could breath and the mermaids hand stopped glowing and she pulled her hand back... and she started to speak some weird language that i couldn't understand and then all of a sudden i could understand it! and she was saying "my name is kilo... i have made you one of us... " and i asked "why? why me??" and she replied "you will know in time" and then she was gone! and the seaweed had let go of its grasp and i swam out of the cave and up to the surface.. looked around in all different directions but land was nowhere to be found... that day was the day my life changed for ever...

Amazing! All of these stories are so enchanting, even beliveable! I love all of them! I have a idea! OH OH ME ME!!! Yes, my idea is that we take all of these stories, and put them into a little book on our computers! That way, even if we leave the guild or stop playing gaia, we can all remember the times we wrote the stories and read them over again! biggrin Of course we would say who wrote them and not be like "OH YAH! I CREATED THOSE AWESOME STORIES ABOUT MERPEOPLE! -secretly rubs hands- muahahahha!" lol What ya say?
