I've been thinking about a Celestial species of beings. They carry immense power from birth, so much power that they've been reported creating planets a light-year in diameter.

Thought to origionate from high energy nebulae they all seem to recieve orders from some source though they never tell who or what that source is.

They have the mental copability of changing one's thoughts, memories and perception of things. This has caused many to distrust them and even seek ways to destroy them. Along with mind control they are all linked to each other through the mind, sharing a "dream scape" with one another.

They have a relatively unique eye structure in that their eyes are large and have many different color,vertical bands of nerve endings, each band tuned to a different range of light wave. They also have a horizontal band of luminecent cells that, when brought up, can emit a far ranging light for when light is non existant in an area.

Their ears function in much the same way but they mainly stay drawn inside their heads since there is no way for sound to travel in space. They have massive, conical ears that contain a mass of hollow fibers, differing in size and length. Each of these fibers are designed to pick up the most minute sound waves.

As for their bodily appearance I owuld have to say they look like furless kitsunes with smooth, undefined builds though they do have the ablity to change ther bodies in any way. they normally just go along with how people would like them to look.

Types

When Nyxini go natural they have a variety of skin colors, each color corresponding to their abilites.

White: Generates massive amounts of energy but cannot survive absolute zero.
Black: Generates half the energy a white can and can survive any condition.
Yellow: Can travel through time and take about any object along with them, short lifespans and they produce only enough energy to travel and stay alive.
Blue: Seekers, all nerves are hyper active. Has a minute magnetic field to detect anychange within five thousand lightyears.
Pink: Magnifiers. They have no energy of their own so they are quick to attach themselves to someone. Their lifespan is directed connected to the person they're attached to.
Purple: Caretakers, they produce more energy that every other type combined. Longest lifespan.
Grey: Hybrids, most common type and most likely to become Purple. Purduce enough energy to create solar systems, even galaxies when they mass together.

For the most part I really really really need a name before I start on culture and things. surprised

aside from the mind changing thing, would you say they were friendly or very evil? It would help with the culture. I have an idea, but it's from an SF internet comic I've read once. If you want, I could try drawing your nyxinus.

I tried to do a close up of the eyes and ears, but, crappy quality D= anywho, Big eyes, with horizontal colourbeams so to speak in what we call the pupil. Around their 'pupils' I put the lightthingies you mentioned in your first post.
