I love the series Death Note but it also has some interesting discussion aspects. Which side to you root for, Kira or L. For people who do not know the series you can watch for free on Hulu or Joost. I have seen a lot of tragedy in my life and have seen a lack of justice and mistrust in the justice system. I support Kira but I think some of his ways were a little extreme.

I agree with you although i do believe those extreme measures where to cover his tracks. Kira was used to criminal justice so that is why he got away with it. There is a question i want to ask though. What happens when you run out of death note paper?

I'm not a big fan of Death Note and truth be told I haven't watched/read allot of it but I don't think I would side with either.
I wouldn't side with L just because I haven't seen most of the series and beyond catching Kira, I don't know what his long-term goals are.
As far as Kira/Light. I knew he was a self-righteous hypocrite the in first episode I ever watched. The episode where L makes that broadcast that began with the Fake L announcing that he was hunting Kira and give out his name (I don't remember it that well, it was a while ago) and then Light just goes ahead and kills him.
Why? He wasn't evil! He hadn't caught up to you yet! You weren't in any real danger! Light just goes and kills an innocent person just to protect his own selfish hide and by doing so only help the real L narrow down an area to search and find him. I'm sorry, but I refuse to follow any leader or "savior" that is so stupid and self-serving.

He actually did not know it was really L. So if he dies it helps him. do you get it now.

It wasn't a question of getting it. I know that the man he killed wasn't really L when the real L came on and basically said: "You moron, I know where you live now." Its not a question of "getting it".
That scene just showed me that Light was nothing more than a self-serving d**k. If he truly was an "enlightened savior" then he should have just let the announcement play and done nothing.
