RELATIONSHIP: Jake is more than aware that Leon feels he's been stuck with the most illknowledged man on the planet. And despite his jesting and teasing, Jake really does want to show Leon that he's more than capable at becoming an adept WEAPON. Jake feels that since he's the older of the two of them, he should be the more mature and responsible one, but anyone who looks at the two of them would know that's not true. Still, Jake often finds himself amused by what he would call Leon's youth.
Because Jake is Leon's WEAPON, he's discovered that he has a special insight into how Leon's mind works. Leon considers him more and less than the common person. Hie doesn't filter his thoughts around Jake and probably talks to him more than anyone else. In turn, Jake tries to bring Leon out of his shell when they're around others. This is something that Leon clearly doesn't appreciate.
In battle, the two of them have an odd but strangely functional bickering relationship. Despite the fact that Jake may feel he knows better, he trusts Leon implicitly in battle as he knows that one of the few things the boy cares about is his mission work.
-------- PERSONALITY Jake is a friendly guy. He's been through his teenage years and has gone past that "teen angst" scene. Jake's not afraid of humor, teasing on someone else or being the a** end of one. Despite his quick smile and easy going nature, there's a core of wisdom in him and his friendly veneer hides a much more intelligent mind.
In a school where most of the students and some of the staff are younger than him, Jake tries his best to be a friendly "older brother" like character, but even he can't be nice all the time. There's definitely an angrier and sullen side to Jake. When he loses his control he's been known to trash people well and proper, but he's been working at keeping that in check.
Jake's confident in his abilities and doesn't really let criticism or sarcasm affect him. He finds great amusement at watching the school play out like a day time drama, and all the "gossip" and newsletter info does nothing but make him laugh. He's got a fairly large disregard for "social aristocracy" but he'll be sure to enjoy watching everyone else try and climb the popularity ladder.
