RP General Rules
These are simple, and really, you should already know.
- Do not God-mode! This is basically when you take control of another’s character without permission and act like a “god”, moving and causing their character to act without their permission. Please do not god-mode. You wouldn’t want your character to be taken control of without consent, so don’t do it to others!
- Put some thought into your posts, there is no specific word requirement, but they should at least be enough so that the other person can have something to respond to. This means: one-liners are not acceptable, and we'd appreciate at least one paragraph... but we won't shoot you if you don't always write that much.
- All RP threads are to be posted in the main forum, to make RP threads easier to find, please post all of them in the main forum as well as properly labeling them.
- Please keep everything around PG-13 level! sorta. Things happen, but don't get us in trouble, please <3
- Read the Daisy Code, it is an excellent guide about how to conduct yourself as a role-player and is how one should behave.

SHIBUSEN Specific Info
This *should* be a complete summary of all the SHIBUSEN RP-related rules/info.
- You can RP without a Pet. Have a quest thread, and you can use your TECHNICIAN to play! These will be ERPs - they don't count for anything except SP for those who have pets, but they're fun, right?
- To count for growth requirements, PRPs must be 30+ posts long. Yes, it sounds insane, but this is to encourage your character development, plus longer RPage creates more story. We like story. <3
- For ORPs to count towards growth, they must be 45+ posts long, regardless of how many participants there are. Feel free to make them longer!
- You can do non-RP-requirement RPs. Even if you have completed all the RP requirements for your particular rank/level, you can continue to start and participate RPs. <3 These RPs (if none of the participants are using it for growth) can be as long or short as you like, and will count for SP.
- RPs can only count towards requirement when they are started after the official "growth" posting in your journal. This means that, even if your pet has finished the requirements and you have posted in the "grow me" thread, any RPs you start won't count towards the next rank - they will only be worth SP and fun! Additionally, all RPs started while you were on your previous rank must be finished or stopped before you start new ones for your current rank.
- Stopping a RP only happens when one or more participants in the RP has just ranked up and would like to end it in order to start on the requirements for next rank's growth. However, this will not count for SP. We do not encourage this option at all, but it is there should you need it. All participants must agree to stopping an RP before it can happen.
- SP is gained upon completion of any MRP, PRP, ORP, NPC-RP, ERP regardless of length. "Completion" does not have a minimum post requirement, but that particular 'scene' or 'story' should be finished.
- Details for SP can be found here. Please note that the staff will be in charge of updating your active missions, inventory, SP, and soul amounts. If you feel that the number is inaccurate, please toss the mule a PM detailing why and where it happened.
- "RP purposes only" items can be used by informing staff of their usage during or before RP. You can do this via PM, or posting in the main thread (make sure someone responds to you, otherwise we may have missed it). The item usage will be recorded in your inventory, and posted by a member of staff into the RP. The effects cannot be denied, though the usage of the item can fail. For example, you can "use" an item by putting it in someone's drink (this will cause the item to dissappear from your inventory), but they may choose to spill the drink, avoiding the effects, or drink it, meaning they have to RP the changes the item has applied.
- Mission RP instructions and Mission Item Use instructions can be found here.
- ALL RPs must be logged in your journal with a post. This includes stopped RPs, ERPs, and RPs that don't count towards growth.
- Journal Summaries are needed for EVERYTHING except for RPs that don't count towards growth, stopped RPs, and ERPs. You are still encouraged to do Journal Summaries for all the RP activity you have participated in, but it is not required.
- RPs turn Inactive after a month. You will be warned via PM that your RP is about to get shut down, and if there is no tag within a week, the RP will be locked and the thread moved to archives. This is to prevent stagnant RPs from sitting around uselessly and it is only fair to those who have been kept waiting. For members in the RP who have been active, count this as a "stopped RP".
