Seems like a lot of conworlders (at least on this site) are in the process of writing one or more stories set in their particular universes. It's only natural that there'd be some folks who have conworlds and/or conlangs as well, but never write them into anything.
Is there anyone here who's like that, or are writers the majority? Do they organize notes on a conworld without turning it into (casual reading) fiction, or do they take these places and projects to their graves? What about other media?

I'm planning on putting my conworld into a novel, though I haven't done any writing yet. Incidentally, the post I have in the other forum is becoming more outdated by the day--I'm trying to get my head around steampunk fantasy instead of doing the Tolkienian style of fantasy now. I also just started drawing my main characters, so I guess it's a race to see whether I finish the drawing or write my opening line first.

My conworlds are going to become:
Novels (Dark Polaris)
Comics (UaSGS, Cat and Canary, ToF, The Takoyaoi Project)
Games (Ashen Wings (visual novel), Fuzzy's Adventure (the unholy offspring of an RPG and the Zelda series))
Animation (Dark Polaris: Ragnarok)
...Iiiii think I need to take "shut up, brain" pills. sweatdrop At least I have Novelty for making Ashen Wings... THE OTHERS ARE GOING TO EAT MY SOUL. gonk

I've tried to write some stories for my conworlds in the past, but I've never actually put the ideas on paper. sweatdrop Now I'm trying to just conworld for conworld's sake. I'll probably do some experiments in the artistic area (specially), but I'll only do it when I have the time it takes to learn about different musical traditions around the world (probably a few decades from now sweatdrop )
