cusre u danzo why dont let kakashi be the 6th hokage
I though about that too... but then I remembered that contest in one of the video games, where naruto had to fight kakashi, to have a rule changed, long story short kakashi one, but forfeited the win to naruto
after seeing that in the side story, in the video game, it seemed likely if kakashi did become hokage, then he'd give it up to naruto (it seemed likely based on his decision in the side story in the naruto game for the ps2)
though I don't doubt him, he probably would do better than danzo
